Human-scale objects are resolvable as extended objects from a distance of just under 2 miles (3 km). For example, at that distance, we would just be able to make out two distinct headlights on a car.

So at best 1-3 miles for human scale objects.
What about a foot or a ball.

Was just on Facebook for a short time and to say it was a tormenting experience is putting mildly. First, there was a FB buddy who I only know online who lost his partner of several years right before the summer. The partner's parents accepted my buddy reluctantly and with now approaching the months' anniversary of the death, my buddy is in a very dark place, even apologizing for his grieving and wishing everyone else to have a good happy life. Everyone in his circle of online friends is reaching out and trying to contact him, but his last message was over an hour or so ago. Then there the Trumpers and their increase of inflammatory posts, even outside of their own timelines and into groups, pages, etc. Individually, I've already unfriended some people I know/knew but it looks like its time for another cull. If it wasn't for close and extended family members on FB as well as some very close friends and a few groups which I moderate and enjoy, I would consider ditching FB entirely.
