As macabre as it sounds, producing videos about prehistoric events is a little like crime scene forensics. We have to imagine and rebuild prehistoric "scenes" that we haven't personally witnessed, based on the bits of information we have at hand.

For the Neanderthals 101 video, we used images of fossils and artifacts, artist renderings of life scenes, and forensic reconstructions of a female neanderthal from National Geographic magazine. All these elements came together to help us visualize the incredible story of these early humans.
