Sometimes TV ads capture our imagination or say something unique about our culture or times. On occasion though, TV ads approach an art form all their own.

Somewhere along the line the good people at TCM had the sense to hire RAYGUN to do their promos. RAYGUN has a unique style that melds the old films with contemporary perspectives, bringing them to life for new audiences.

Here are a few of their best:

    Tearjerkers (exceptional)

Pretty much any of these. You'll notice RAYGUN does work a number of Time Warner channels, but their work for TCM is the best I think.

I can never remember - which one doesn't have commercial interruptions during the movies? TCM or AMC?

    TCM, Turner Classic Movies.

Though hell. I'd love people to look at the promos. They really are original and brilliant.

    Nooo, not naked Raygun.

I like you Danny, always have. You're intriguing.

Now we just need to see the other 3/4 of what looks like a really cute mugg.

What - the horns aren't enough for ya? :biggrin1:

Something that needs to be played now on TV is "Johnny Got His Gun" - the movie Metallica tapped for the basis of "One".
