Tapster, don't you mean "disadvantages"? As under the right circumstances I can sometimes hit a length pretty close to yours I feel I know the answer.

I can't imagine any advantage whatsoever in being 9.5" soft in terms of clothing, still less in sport, unless it is a sport I've never heard of Not pole vaulting, heard that one too may times before.

Sex is another matter IMHO:

A basic LPSG point: the disadvantages in terms of the care and preparation alwasy required, the restraint always needed, and inability to acheive total penetration are MASSIVELY outweighed by how good it feels. junk792: I read the an article in the Journal of Urology (I think that's the name, it had Urology in the title) after reading an online article saying that the average penis length is 5.1 inches, but in the real article, the measurement method was NOT pushed to the pubic bone. They did measure the thickness of the fat pad, and it was on average 1" for their sample of about 90 older (and so, often fatter) men. 5.1" + 1" = 6.1" which corresponds with other surveys.

Ineligible: Medical studies (at least none that I've seen) do not use the bone-pressed method, though some of the recent ones do try to estimate fat-pad thickness as well. Bone-pressing adds more uncertainty.

You also have to be careful whether they measure erect or "stretched". Stretched measurements are supposed to be the same, but only if you pull quite hard.

Having said all that, it's quite surprising how small the average seems to be. Evidently those of us (like myself) who are poorly hung hide it pretty well.

When you go to an Adult toy store and they have penis pumps on display, how is it supposed to lengthen your penis if you can't "fit" inside the cylinder. I also had this problem. I ordered a size "large" and, although it was long enough (a bit over 9") it was not wide enough. At only a 2" diameter, I am 2 1/4" naturally. So, when pumping begins I quickly expanded and any effort to stretch longer did not work (Penis "stuck" so to speak in the cylinder.
