    7x6andchg: Nony - from personal experience - the Northern Lights - are AWESOME.

    Before I die....

    I'd like to go BACK to Paris.
    And visit Australia.
    Learn to ride a motorcycle
    Feel a love like my father felt for my mother
    Learn to actually play baseball well, as compared to just passable
    Read the entire Bible
    Work for myself, and myself alone.

    Before I die I'd like to....

    Dress in a tux and beg for change on the street.
    Hide a looped recording of randomly timed farts in a movie theater.
    Drive backwards through a McDonald's Drive-Thru.
    Leave my house Christmas lights turned on all year.
    Hit John Carville in the face with a banana cream pie.
    Go with Nony on a hot air balloon ride over the Napa valley.

    awellhungboi: I made a list like this last year, still haven't achieved any of it yet. Let's see if I can remember:

    Before I die I'd like to:
    • own my own piano
    • make a living as a writer
    • be interviewed by Charlie Rose about one of my novels
    • learn how to ski
    • go to Paris

    Hmm, probably plenty more. That's kind of boring, I guess.

    Ok, either you meant James or you need to explain who this John Carville is and why you want to pie him.

    Javierdude22: Such a cool question...

    Before I die I want to:

    * Have one or more kids
    * Learn to play the piano well
    * Also see the Polar lights
    * Have lived and worked a few years in San Fran or NY
    * Not have my retirement funds coming from my old 9-5 deskjob...or leave 9-5, any job with too much documents laying around
    * Learn how to: horseride, dive, ride a motorcycle.
    * Important: Own my own house at the beach in Spain where my family lives.
    * say, 'It's all good", when I reminisce about what I did with my life, and this list.

    throb919: Looks like we'll be taking a side-trip to see the aurora borealis--after our piano lessons in Paris.

    A few that come to mind:
    • spend a summer in the south of France (Antibes maybe) without a watch or a phone
    • make love on top of a concert grand piano on which Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" is being played (full orchestra optional)
    • learn to throw a perfect spiral football pass
    • become penpals with Maya Angelou
    • have a successful one-man show at an important gallery
    • enjoy good health into old age--with my partner/lover/bestfriend

    7x6andchg: Full Orchestra Optional? What is Gershwin WITHOUT a full orchestra I ask you! ?

    As for the Aurorae (?)...I've heard Borealis is better than Australis...and I've seen Borealis, too, so perhaps if anyone wants to venture up here some cold clear winter night we can see them...

    I mean, heck, I'm further north than Sammy! LOL

    I had a morning paper route in Upstate New York when I was 12-13 for which I'd get up at 3:30am. It would take about and hour and a quarter to deliver the papers and get back into bed until time to arise for school.

    But on the mornings when the northern lights were bright overhead I would finish the deliveries and stand outside my house watching the beauty of the sky until sunrise obliterated the last rays.

    Magical - probably more beautiful in my memory than in reality. But that's okay.

    My life goals, in no particular order :

    * write my books and be a writer (meaning I should turn every book-idea into a book !)

    * be a diplomat - work in the European diplomacy

    (* maybe I also should learn to drive !   ;D)

    * have children

    * live between PARIS & France - England's South-east - Venice - a bit of New York - Vienna - Dubrovnik - Como (Italy) - Rome ; reside in Paris.

    * found a political party (centre-right)

    * give to my Past what I owe to my Past (and to History what I owe to History)

    * Understand what I need to Understand (don't ask me what I mean - I write what I feel now, :D)

    * fly again with a Concorde (my private, if possible, hehe - if not, a Falcon-Dassault 900 would be perfect  8))

    * express my best feelings towards the others ( = a confuse way to say "I hope I'll not fear anymore to tell others I love/like them")

    * make a world tour

    * to be able to repeat this wonderful words: I am writing my life, let’s not forget it. So we must make it appear beautiful and curious.

    wvalady1968: Nony, this is a great subject! Made me think about my life goals. I'd love to:

    - spend about three months in the UK
    - visit New Zealand in January
    - learn to play a musical instrument
    - be able to bike 50 miles on my 50th birthday
    - have a baby or three and grow old loving and being loved by their Daddy

    gigantikok: Number one most important life goal ever:

    Be on the big screen.

    (and everything that goes along with that, including fame and fortune...)

    ...oh, and if that doesn't happen, then to at least be able to act for a living.

    SpeedoGuy: During the summers of my youth I vacationed on the banks of the wild rivers in northwest California. There I could see wild salmon migrating upstream to spawn in late summer. I'd swim with them and it was wonderful to watch them lounging in underwater caves, darting through the crystal depths and leaping upstream into the whitewater.

    Then the salmon disappeared, victims of forest clearcutting and overfishing. The rivers were barren for years. Recently, though, I've heard that protections have become enforced and the salmon are returning to the mountains.

    I'd like to swim with them again.
