It would be much more convenient and speedy to just pass through an x-ray. Yeah, it's somewhat invasive of privacy and may be uncomfortable, but there is no constitutional right to fly on an airplane. [/quote]

Not to mention exposing yourself to an increased risk of cancer! X-ray's can be quite nasty - those hospital operators don't hide behind thick leaded glass for nothing you know!

You know, you'd be amazed at the retarded reactions you'd find with idiots like these. When I had to go out of town for some business, I went through those things and my recent dental implants set the damn thing off. It got so ridiculous that they were shining a flashlight in my mouth to confirm this, which I felt was justified, but when they patted me down too far and found nothing, that's when I told them to get their jollies off someone who really deserves it. Needless to say, the supervisor got a blistering earful from yours truly before I left.

tigerwolf: I've been fondled a few times by airport security, and not just the normal patdown. One even winked at me afterwards. He was cute, and if he wasn't at work I'd have probably done something back. ^^;

Icarus213: That's never happened to me, but I think if it did I'd crack up laughing. I think the screener would be more embarrassed than I would be.
