    OK,
Working from home and watching the first couple of episodes of Real Housewives of New York and can't help but wonder. The guy named Simon (the Australian Hotel GM), comes across, a bit gay. No, let me change my opion on this, he's gay. Gay - Gay - Gay. He's gayer then some of my gayest friends. Is the wife that blind, deaf, and dumb? Or just likes the fact she found a man more intrested in fasion then she is? This guy is so far past metrosexual it's not even funny.

Than they show the couple go to St. Barts for a vacation. And down come Simon on the beach in an itty, bitty, tight banana hammock. And not the kind you would ever see a straight guy in, even in rio or europe. The was a posing strap. But I did notice, he was packing quite a full pouch (even though the pouch was 90% of the swimsuit). Send him an invite to the website.

Anyone else started watching the show have any therories?

I'm not sure if he's gay but he certainly is one big blubbering vagina. "Oh honey, you look breathtaking, simply stunning!" as she tries on all these five-figure dresses. "You're blowing me away, truly" ... then he takes the time to drop in "money isn't an issue you see" as if we somehow missed that somewhere. What a douche.

Oh I so agree with you. Forgot to say arrogant . Still watching the second episode, where he just pleeded with the wife to go shopping, because he loves shopping. Then he says, "and I like to go shopping for you".
I did almost spit my drink out laughing when he said, "Does brown work on me" (refering to the shirt he was wearing though) LOL:biggrin1:

he is a little annoying and eccentric i would say. but there are plenty of guys out there that love fashion, even more so than women. and if he wants to shower his wife with really expensive clothes, then why not? though i do watch how much each outfit costs and i think to myself, "i can pay off my credit card bill with one dress," lol. i do love the show though, but you can totally tell the difference between the housewives of orange county versus housewives of new york.

Please don't think these women represent the typical New Yorker, even a very rich one. They're an embarrassment. I saw the opener and they make the OC women look like ladies.

Just like these women do not represent the majority of housewives in New York, the Orange County bunch is the same. I live in Orange County and while working for a communications company, I took messages from the construction companies that built Coto De Caza. (New Money honey) Believe me, they don't live in anything REAL where I live and rent month to month.

As for the husband buying the wife clothes, I didn't get that he was gay. Perhaps he is and I just missed it. He is a bit irritating but who isn't with that kind of money. (Yes the bathing suit was ridiculous and yes I have seen straight men wearing those.)

The whole food chef, the brunette that got offended when the other housewife tired to introduce her to the driver is not my favorite. That kind of behavior is uncalled for. She is trying to get her boyfriend to marry her, and to be honest I think he is in it for the pussy. (Hope he doesn't mind the ice cube up in there.)

My favorites are the countess and Jill the red head.

Yeah, I called that guy for 'mo as soon as I saw the preview show. She's definitely in it for the money and because she probably couldn't get a man if she tried with her horse face. Simply a hot tranny mess.

im just talking about the differences in attitude and behavior. the OC ladies seemed much more laid back, compared to the NY ladies who were a bit more catty and aggressive in behavior. I expect nothing less from people that live in NY, its all about the attitude and confidence baby!

^^I understand what you're saying, but I think in the second or third season the OC ladies became more laid back. The first season of NY is on par with the first season of OC.

Ok First of all, he's Australian, Not French. The only thing European about him is his French manicure.
But come on...how can you not see how gay he is? Trust me, it is not the first or last time a gay guy marries a women, who he does love, and wants to have children with. But that doesn't make someone not gay. It just means down the road, they have a hell of a fight coming.
The swimsuit: there are Speedo's, shorts Speedo, board shorts, full cuts, low cuts, etc. But that is a Banana Hammock he is wearing.
I heard about the cover up comment on the show they said. Which was nicely edited in over the beach scene. Probably after the producer said, "how do we pull off showing the swimsuit scene without causing a controversy?" And someone at Bravo said, "blame it on the Americans modesty about nudity."
Which is true. Americans are very modest about nudity. I live in a Florida beach community and have seen allot of swimsuits on people over the years. I also have gone to the nude beach here quite a few times. There is allot more people in this country that would rather wear board shorts to cover up then those in Speedo's. But we also have a large gay community here at the beach, who wear some mini-bikinis, who would still even find what he was wearing a bit shocking.
Enough about the swimsuit though. There are just allot of other flags that go about about him.

I love that people are talking about the show on here. I can't speak for the Orange county woman, except for that agree they came off more "real" the second and third season. And I agree, this is not a full picture of the Real housewives of New York. It's more of a candid view on what people "think" wealthy New York Woman act like. There are so many types of "Real Housewives" in New York, you could make a 20 year series out of it. Another part that I think is hard for people outside of Orange County and New York City, who don't live that type of lifestyle to understand is, they play by a different rule book. Money changes allot of the rules of the games for people. These are just 2 communities in America with some very financially successful people, that are just living the lifestyle of the communities in which they are a part of. There are all types of communities in America, but these just happen to be 2 fun ones to be voyeurs of.
I live in a very wealthy area of South Florida, where people behave even more ridiculously then the one you see on TV. But I agree with the comment of the person who said they lived in Orange county in an earlier thread. What you are seeing on TV, is what is called New Money. The people with what they call "old money", would never be caught dead doing a show like this, or behaving that way out in public. In there world, image and status is everything. And the concept of being on a TV show displaying their "real life" would never happen. They try to avoid ending up on Page 6, and are more worried about being listed in the social register of the season.

Ok I'll shut up now, sorry for the long type, very slow at work this morning..lol.

I do have to say, if someone wants a real perspective of the wealthy, come down to Palm Beach Florida from about January to April. And they are quite an interesting crowd. Fort Lauderdale has a lot of money, but very laid back community. And Miami, wow, how do you describe Miami. LOL

Ok. There was a new episode last night. Anyone else catch simon defending that he was not gay becuase he liked fasion? I did bust up laughing when the one women told him he was having a gay crisis, becuase he could not decided if he should wear light or dark boots to the fasion show. Then when the ladies meet up with him on the street for the fasion show, he's striking a pose with the foot up on light pole showing off his boots.

    GAY GAY GAY
    Francois and Yohan, Seriously....lol
