Another case of canibalism in USA this time is from a student from Morgan University.

Alleged cannibal ranted on Facebook about 'mass human sacrifices'

A Kenyan university student suspected of killing and eating parts of a man staying at his home ranted months ago about "mass human sacrifices" on Facebook, it emerged last night.

Kinyua (left), a 21-year-old student at Morgan State University, confessed on Thursday to murdering and dismembering his room-mate, Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie (right)

Police say Alex Kinyua, 21, admitted using a knife to kill and carve up Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, 37, before eating his heart and parts of his brain. The older man had been staying with the Kinyua family for about six weeks at their townhouse in the Baltimore suburb of Joppatowne.

The remains have been positively identified as Agyei-Kodie's and a relative in the US has been notified, according to the sheriff's office. No other charges have been filed against anyone else, she said.
Both the victim and his alleged killer had attended nearby Morgan State University, a historically black university in Baltimore. Kinyua had just finished his junior year, and Agyei-Kodie was a graduate student who last attended classes in 2008.

Investigators haven't given a possible motive in the slaying. In a separate case on May 19, police said Kinyua beat a man with a baseball bat on Morgan State's campus, fracturing his skull and making him lose sight in one eye. Kinyua was free on $220,000 bail in that case. He is now being held without bond on a murder charge.
Kinyua, an electrical engineering student, had good grades and had enough credits to be a senior in the fall, according to university spokesman Clinton Coleman. He could not comment on the May incident, but noted the university has a zero-tolerance policy toward violence and a student in such a situation would likely be suspended or expelled.
No students or faculty had approached the school with concerns about Kinyua, Mr Coleman said.

In February, Kinyua posted a question on Facebook, asking fellow students at historically black colleges and universities if they were "strong enough to endure ritual HBCU mass human sacrifices around the country and still be able to function as human beings?"
He referred to the tragic shootings at Virginia Tech and "other past university killings around the country" and warned "ethnic cleansing is the policy, strategy and tactics that will affect you, directly or indirectly in the coming months."

The Maryland attack came a few days after another alleged instance of cannibalism in Miami where a man in Miami chewed away another man's face along a busy highway and wouldn't stop until an officer shot him to death. Witnesses say 31-year-old Rudy Eugene growled at the officer and continued to chew. The victim, identified as 65-year-old Ronald Poppo, a homeless man who lived under the causeway, was in critical condition and will be permanently disfigured.

and a third case of cannibalism that happened recently in Brazil :

Brazil 'cannibals turned women into pastries'

Three suspected cannibals have been arrested by Brazilian police on suspicion of having murdered and eaten as least two women who they may have turned into pastries.

The trio allegedly forged a sect called Cartel who wanted to purify the world and reduce the population according to police spokesman Democrito Honorato, from the Brazilian town of Guaranhuns.

They were identified as Jorge Beltrao Negromonte and Elizabeth Pires da Silveira, both 51, and Bruna da Silva. Police allege they intended to kill three women per year.
Once at their home, it is thought that the women were killed and their "meat" was cooked and used as the filling in a pastry dish known as empanada (Portuguese pastel), which was then sold to unwitting neighbours.

Police acted after two bodies were found in the garden of the house of the trio. Police believe they may be the bodies of Alexandra Falcao, 20 and Gisele da Silva, 30, both of whom disappeared recently.Police said that they attracted their victims "by offering them well-paid babysitting jobs", before choosing their victims when "a spirit warned them they were bad people."

"The details of the actions of the trio, with drawings and explanations of cannibalism, were found in a 50-page book written by Da Silveira, a man with a diploma in education and a black belt in karate," Mr Honorato said.

"The three ate the flesh of their victims to purify their souls."
