Fake and very obvious too. Look at the vein on the right of the shaft, it stops abruptly but is identical to the same one below it and double flash exposure. I could do a better photo shop one handed.

Although it seems to have been shown as a 'fake/photoshopped' and I agree with the previous comment that there is no need....
I seem to be in the minority here in that I like them.

The only thing I disapprove of is when they are used to con people into buying something or parting with money, for example when they're used on the covers of DVD's etc.
Otherwise I don't really see what all the fuss is about.
