does the real alternative allow me to download as well as play and does it have a box which appears at the top of the clip which says download.

yes ...it does want to take over everything and id hate that.

Or you could download "Format Factory" a free video-converter program & convert every RMVB file to whatever you want-I would suggest .avi & that way you can watch those scenes with any video player-without the need of codecs
Just a suggestion:biggrin1and don't download that Real Media Player-if you wish to keep your sanity)

Real alternative can you stream and do the thing the normal realplayer can do just use firefox, crome, opera everything but Internet explorer

VLC and the other codecs are fine just not when toy have to stream some real audio/video.

Just use firefox browser with it's video downloader add-on and you can download streaming and embedded video from just about any site. Then play them in any player of your choice, but by far and away the best player is the VLC player. It plays just about everything. Any more questions? :smile:
