It seems you never really realize how untractive, weird, annoying something is that you do until you seem someone else you know that does it...

    Hottxboi,

I think we all have a vested interest in staying in denial about our faults .How else could we get up in the morning and function?

I'm fairly sure that my issues are not STD's, but I'll keep that in mind.

I dont mean neccesarily that we are in denial, but just perhaps we just dont even realize theres anything wrong with it. But seeing it from a different prespective or portrayed on someone else is a real eye opener.

I know what you mean - there's that little moment of shock and embarrassment when you're kind of sneering at something and you realize "OMG - I do that!" In a way, I think of it as a gift that (some) people can be self aware enough to recognize that, reflect on it and take the opportunity to make a positive change.

Self-awareness hahahah that is another board in itself xD I was having a discussion with a friend of mine the other day about how I feel about the concept of pyschology and how I feel pyschiatrists are a waste of time and money, which resulted in teh agreement that I must be more self-aware than most people

I don't think you need to be (or see) a psychologist to realize that people often hate most in other people that which they dislike in themselves. I'm an aggressive driver who can't stand aggressive drivers; my boss is an uber-pretentious guy who can't stand public broadcasting because he thinks it pretentious; my sister decries inflexible (conventional) lifestyles but loves her own inflexible (unconventional) lifestyle. I could go on and on with other examples from among the people I know but you get the point.

With me, I tend to understand a lot about myself, but if I met a smart talking chornoically introverted intelligant girl who's a master of anything she can do if she'd ever be bothered...

Well I'd have to bang her!

I think my faults are fairly charming...except they hurt like hell to anyone who possesses them.

That's an age-old problem, young man!

I, for instance, can be pretty pissed in the morning for the first hour or so after I got up. But then, I am always the first to gruff at others who are in a bad mood in the morning. Maybe it is self-deception, or lowered sensitivity, noticing something wrong about oneself usually is conceived as being normal. But since this is so wide-spread and common, I guess the effects cancel each other out completely.

I know exactly what you mean hahha. But my problem is how im woken up which determines what kind of mood im in.

If im woken up gently= Good mood
If im woken up by my younger brother screaming and pouncing on me= fist in the face
