I have quite a few hairs growing on the first inch of my (erect) shaft. I put this down to having a fairly tight circumcision coupled with an extra half inch of length due to pe. I also have some fine hairs further up the shaft, a few of which are near the circumcision scar. It wasn't a problem until my wife hit menopause. At that point her vaginal walls became less robust and she would become sore quite quickly from the 'scrubbing' action of my penile hairs. I tried shaving but the stubble was even worse, so I took some tweezers and plucked 'em out instead. It takes a while, but doesn't hurt if you keep the skin stretched as you pluck. The result is super smooth and it lasts for ages compared to shaving. I guess I go over it with the tweezers every fortnight or so and it only takes ten minutes to achieve smoothness. I can feel the difference during sex, and it's way better for her. It feels smooth and slippery without the need for loads of extra lube.

I thought about it but i supposed it was hard to do it. Don´t know, the penis is far from my eyes, the hairs are thin. I´m waiting to find someone who helps me. By the moment it doesn´t bother enough.

The base of my shaft is pretty hairy so I've been shaving it for years. Waxing sounds way to painful and I have way to many hairs to pluck out. I tried an electric razor a couple of times but my skin would get pulled into the blades which cut me up and hurt like hell. I use a plain twin blade razor with baby oil or just dry and I rarely get any nicks or cuts. When I first started there was some itching but that only lasted a few days before it stopped. That product, Magic Shave, that Ricky_27 mentioned sounds interesting. I may give that a try.

After restoring my foreskin I noticed more hair on the shaft of my penis. This was due to the skin migrating up the shaft. To used to pluck these hairs until one day I found an electrolysis that was willing to remove them. It took a dozen visits and the results were good. Years later however there are perhaps two dozen hairs that came back. This is about a quarter of the hair I once had. The electrolysis hair removal cost me $600.00.
The story doesn’t end here. I went with a gal that liked me to shave my balls, which I found a pain in the ass. So one day I found a laser hair removal centre that would remove the hair from my scrotum. After five visits and $2,00.00 later the treatment was complete. Ten years later I have about one third the hair I once had. Was it worth it? Well every guy knows how much money you are willing to spend to satisfy a women.
In my opinion:
Shaving is cheep and easy but is at best weekly ritual
Waxing or plucking is a monthly event
Electrolysis is somewhat expensive but fairly successful
[FONT=&quot]Laser treatments are very expensive but again fairly successful

That's completely normal. Like all other body hair, pubic hair grows on people in different patterns (like chest hair, back hair, etc.). I don't really have hair on my shaft, but I shave my balls once a week, it keeps them looking and feeling the way I want. I have had no problems with this practice. I just use a regular shaving razor (safety razor).

I too use a safety razor to remove the hair on my shaft. Also trim my pubes. It makes removing a condom easier as there is no hair to get caught. I have shaved for years and it only takes a minute about every week while in the shower.

ive got a totally different question but just dont know where else to put it. just wanted to know if people who are circumcised where told by their parents or just figured it out for themselves.
where i am from circumcision is quite uncommon and i have never been told that i have been circumcised but my foreskin doesnt fully cover the head. and my relationship with my parents isnt one that i could ask this question without feelin really embaressed.
i have also heard that people can have short foreskin and have wondered if this may be my case.
If anyones got any ideas it would reli help.

If you were circumcised, you´d have a scar around the shaft, near the head. (I guess it´s possible a real good job of the surgeon, without visual scar).

In the other hand, as there are long and tigh foreskins, may have short ones.

Yes, the foreskin can be rather short. In some guys, short enough to appear circumcised. So, for you to know for certain, you'll need to ask your parents. If you do that: be diplomatic and non-confrontational.

Another avenue would be the pediatrician that your parents took you to. The patient file/record might denote it. Since you're now an adult, you'd have the right to ask the office or doctor and get an answer about something like that.

It isn't always possible to tell, whether you're looking at a loose circumcision with a very neat scar or a short foreskin.

There isn't anything to be embarressed about with that question.
Where could you put it? You could start a new thread. You might put it in the Healthy Penis category. You could title it - not sure if I am circucmcised- or something like that.

As far as ideas for your question. I think it would help, if you could first post a picture. Maybe say where you are from too?

Here is a good way to tell if you are circumcised:
Do you have anything of a dark circle running around your penis where the fold starts? Lots of circumcised guys (like me) still have a lot of skin left.
You can see the dark ring around mine though - it's more noticeable on one side. Still, not all circumcised guys have this.

Another way is this:
Does the end of the skin kind of close up around the tip of your penis, or around the spot on the head where it stops? If it is tight like that, you are probably uncircucised. If it is loosser, more likely you are circumcised. This can be hard to tell with some guys.

Are there some uncircumcised guys whose skin doesn't cover the head totally? : Definitely. It doesn't mean the foreskin is short either. For some guys it's a hood, for others, it's more of a turtle-neck shirt, and some guys have that cool aardvark overhang thing going on.

Interesting question. I don't think it's something to worry about though

I didn't see that last page. The other guys brought up a lot of what I had to say. It's not true though that you can always tell circumcised from uncircumcised by a scar or any other factor.

I hope you realize that hair on your penis is not going to affect your life one way or the other. I have never understood this trend other than it is porn influenced. You are not alone with hair on your penis and I would think that the greater majority of males do. In stead of embracing your masuculinity you have been influenced by others. If a partner rejects you because of it I would suggest you have a narrow minded partner that is really not that much into the person that the penis is attached to.
