gwinea2000: Okay, I'm gonna begin with a disclaimer b/c my intention is not to piss anyone off.

I am NOT accusing anyone of posting false information. I am NOT saying being the possessor of a large penis should be ample justification for making entry into the world of porn.

    So, that being said...
I'm curious as to why there are apparently so many guys who are endowed well beyond the biggest on film. For example, Lexington Steele, the biggest I've seen (lengthwise) has said himself he's 11 'on a good day.' John Holmes has been re-estimated at much closer to 10 inches than the exaggerated numbers thrown around during his days as Johnny Wadd.

These guys are considered to be the biggest of the big. And yet, apparently, there are many who could do MUCH more than hold their own in the company of the aforementioned.

My question isn't "well, if you're that big, why wouldn't you flaunt it?" (I wouldn't do porn either, regardless of my size.) It is this: Aren't the odds that, if there are many who are significantly bigger than 11 or so inches, that at least a few would make the obviously-available leap into porn? Or girths of 8 inches? Maybe I'm not looking in the right places, but I've never seen more than little (if any) over 7 in girth or 11 in length.

I suppose this is an open-ended question in that it doesn't beg an objective answer. I'm just trying to offer a possible justification for skepticism. Doesn't seem to add up....

    Your thoughts...

I'm not 11" x 8", but I know some dudes who are. Some of them have been approached by porn agents and producers with offers. Most of them have turned down the offers for one of two reasons:
    1. They've been made to feel like freaks because of their penis size. They have no desire to feed those feelings by exposing the body part that has led to their sense of ostracization.

    OR

    2. Appearing in porn films is receiving money for performing sexual acts. It's too akin to prostitution.

I've received offers also. I'm in group #2. I don't do porn because it's whoring by proxy.

    7x6andchg: I'd have to second DMW's post.

Porn may not be for everyone. Not everyone is an exhibitionist, not everyone may be comfortable in front of the camera....

That 11+" penis could be attached to someone who doesn't consider himself good looking enough to actually perform in a medium where looks are also important.

Some people may just want to lead normal lives as bankers, attorneys, whatever...rather than having themselves and their members immortalized forever after.

Your question is valid in that I'm sure that's one of the reason suspicion is raised...I guess I'm OK with the suspicion, and can live with it.

jerkin4-10: tender... good point...obviously everyone has their own line that they draw in the sand that differentiates X from Y, if you will...and in my mind...theres not a whole lot of difference in 'exotic dancing'...and doing porn...on any level...but i know some ladies in the 'dancing' industry and some participate in porn and...well other related personal service activities...and others strictly dance...i guess its..'you say tomato...and i say tomAto'...
but i know what your saying...if i ever crossed that line...i would jump in with both feet...its a might fine line to walk... ;)

pghcyclist: While new here, I'm taken by the people who are exceptional and yet claim to feel like they are freaks. Some have claimed to be too big to comfortably fit into a woman (or man, I presume).

Porn is entertainment. Would you pay to see a woman saying, "that's enough. no more. stop there. that's it," and a guy struggling to find that point where he is satisfying her and not hurting her? I'm sure some guys are into seeing women get hurt, but that's another topic, right?

7x6andchg: That's an excellent point, Scott...I mean there is going to be a limit to the size of a porn star's penis. Some of the reasons for this have been brought up on other threads on this site.

Donk: This is an interesting question. I have had the related thought that it is just weird to realize that I am bigger than most porn stars, including legends like John Holmes and Jeff Stryker that most people regard as humongous. For example, when I was in college my buds and I sometimes watched porn videos and Peter North was a frequent performer. The other guys seemed to think he was enormous and I later learned that he's 3" shorter than me. (I once came across an old pic of him measuring his dick with a tape measure. It came right up to the 8" mark.)

But here are a few things to consider that might make things less mysterious:

    1. Penises 11" and longer are very uncommon and a relatively tiny portion of the human population has them. Even on this board, according to tallman's chart, only 49 guys claim 11" or more. That may sound like alot, but that's only 49 out of several thousand members of this board--which is dedicated to the topic of large penises--and out of several million (billion?) people on the world wide web. Even if every single person in that group is being truthful (which I don't necessarily believe) 49 11+ penises out of roughly 3 billion men on the planet is not that many.

    2. Out of the small number of 11+ men in the world, only a small portion would want to do porn, for reasons like the ones DMW mentioned.

    3. Out of that small number, an even smaller number would have the ability to succeed in porn. That's the point that I think many people forget when they ask the "why aren't you in porn" question. Doing porn requires more than a big dick. You have to be able to get an erection, keep it as long as necessary, cum on cue--and do all this while cameras, lights, and many eyes are on you. I'm sure that a guy with these abilities and an 8-incher would have a longer porn career than an 11-incher who couldn't perform like that every day. (Look at Peter North, who has been around forever.)

Anyway, penises on video look bigger than they do in real life. You don't have to have an 11" penis for it to look like an 11-incher on screen, at least what most people perceive as an 11 incher. But there have been a few porn stars who I would estimate as at least 11 inches. (Dick Rambone is the only one I can name).

Jerkin410 got it just right ... we all have to draw our line. I dance; I flirt with the crowd; I wiggle my goodies at them. I do not have sex with them. I get paid for providing a fantasy, maybe; that is different than having sex with them or being seen having sex by them. What I do is legal; prostitution is not. Technically, the production of porn isn't legal in the state of Louisiana. This legal point is never enforced, but be that as it may, at least I have the peace of mind that I am in accordance with the law. Do you really not perceive the distinction between nudity and prostitution?

Tender: oh yes i understand what has been saying with drawing the lines. guess i havent given that much thought as to there BEING a line between dancing and prostitution.
to me they are very similar in that other people are using ones goods as a service. and performing in the public eye is the same in either regard, to me.
that probably has to do with the way i was raised, as very religious, ect.
i have always felt dancing was just as wrong morally as the other...
ok gee dont flame me guys, im just giving my thoughts here....
but yes i do see that everyone has lines, even though some of them are thinner or more broader than others...

sammygirly: I'm one of those people who have no problem with prostitution. I'm not saying it's a profession I'd like to have - but if someone does want to do it, I see no problem. There's certainly a constant of demand....why not supply legally?

As for that thin line....if nudity is prostitution - is modelling the same?

A hand model sells a part of her body. Is she a prostitute?

    Tender: hmm.
i should think there is a pretty big difference in modeling your hands and your crotch, lol !

but then it is back to that line again...

some women in other cultures are raised that it is evil to show your face in public...never figured that one out...

RKT1001: I have chatted extensively about size issues with a select few people. Usually these are guys who approached me because they wanted to ask a lot of questions about being huge and its consequences. For some of them I have shared some rather unexciting but also starkly honest pics demonstrating my size in some manner.

Because early in my carrer on the net I got burned a couple of times by being too open with some photos, I now guard them carefully.

Thsu, if I end up chatting with someone about being hung and all that comes with it, and I feel I can trust them, then I provide some photo evidence if they are interested and ask for them.

Does this leave me open to the understandable conclusion by some that I am not legitimate? Sure. I can see how their position is reasonable. But it doesnt bother me because their belief-or lack therof-in no way changes the size of my dick.

As always, if anyone wants to chat outside the forum my email is RKT1001@yahoo.com and my messenger ID is RKT1001.

    Best regards to all.

Well, Sammy, I define prostitution as sex for money. In that way, porn is prostitution. Nude modeling (which I've done a bit of) isn't, but then again, I've never been paid to have sex. Ergo, I'm not a prostitute. (Yeah, I know, depictions of sex didn't go big until the 70s.) Now, if I was paid to have sex on camera, that would be prostitution.

tigerwolf: I have to disagree totally with the whole 'Porn is whoring by proxy' thing. Porn is a legitimate hard working profession that is legal. Prostitution and solicitation are not generally acceptable. I don't feel that I was being whored out when I've filmed. *shrug* If anything, it gives me a sense of pride when I find out that people have been jacking off to me. *lol* I guess its my conceited side coming out. Its odd that I have such a counterbalance between feeling inadequate and having a slight ego about it.

gigantikok: That small population of guys are really well endowed might also already have a profession and not want to do porn on the side. Alot of those guys could also fear their reputation being tarnished as a result of people either finding out about their endowement or being connected to porn in general.

Hopefully that provides you with more answers, gwinea2000. As many, many people have repeated, porn is absolutely not for everyone. In fact, it is only for a tiny percentage of people. Combine the tiny percentage of people that would actually be able to do porn with the tiny percentage of well endowed men, and you can understand why some of the biggest guys were John Holmes and Lexinton Steele.

nacard01: I for one wouldn't do porn nor do I think I could. Porn stars, as has already been mentioned, have to have a certain level of sexual control and cue abilities. I am not good at this and on a more personal note. Whether my penis would be a popular item on a porn film or not. I wouldnt want my body out there on someone's shelf. That is something you cant take back.

Do you think when Peter North meets someone they pay much attention to his academic achievements or do they consider his porn career more? <shrug>

gwinea2000: Hey all, thanks for the replies. Like I said at the outset, I would never do porn and wouldn't expect anyone else to, regardless of endowment.

I suppose some of my intent wasn't quite clear. The basis of my skepticism isn't founded on a belief that Lexington Steele or John Holmes or (insert_hugeguy_name_here) being the biggest in the land. My skepticism is based on the fact that these individuals (and several members of the board) have penises the sizes of which are so rare as to be statistically insignificant. That is, we can't even make a reasonably accurate statistical description of their existence because of how few exist.

And yet, there are some who claim to be 1/3 or more larger than the biggest we've ever seen.

For example, these 17-inchers are claiming they're an entire (average-sized) dick longer than 11 inches!

So, anyways, there you have it. Again, I'm not pointing fingers, I'm not asking for pics or proof, I'm just expounding on some very common thoughts previously shared in this great forum.

BTW, calling yourself a 'dancer' as opposed to a 'stripper' is analogous to a porn star calling him/herself an actor/actress: in an objective sense, perhaps it's true, but in reality, bullshit.
That being said, I have nothing against 'dancing' (or prostitution, for that matter.)

    Donk: gwinea,

After your attempt to clarify your intent, I'm not exactly sure what the point of your post is other than to point out that extremely large sizes are hard to believe. From your original post, it seems like your thought was "If really huge (significantly over 11") penises exist, why don't we see them in porn?" From your clarification, it seems like you are basically just pointing out that (1) really huge penises are extremely rare and (2) thus you find huge claims hard to believe, especially those in the 17" range.

I don't think anyone really disagrees with those points. I'm sure most everyone is at least somewhat skeptical of some of the really big claims. But the "reason for skepticism" you offer seems to be simply that such penises are extremely rare. I don't think that's really a new reason. It's just the same reason why anyone with any knowledge of human anatomy or the human psychological tendency to exaggerate would find it difficult to take every claim of a 17" penis at face value.
