Recent Visitors

Since the inception of the new format, I have been intrigued by the people who show up under my profile as Recent Visitors. I have no idea who many of them are and often wonder why they decided to explore my profile. Sometimes it is a pleasant surprise, sometimes, not. I'm not comfortable leaving my name in someone else's Recent Visitor list so I will go offline to look.

Anyone else have thoughts on Recent Visitors to their profile and/or leaving their name in another member's Recent Visitor list?

Personally, I do not give a shit, which is why I do not use stealth or other privacy features, but I'm not that curious about other posters either.

Only when they are enemies does it bother me and then i think for 2 more seconds and i find i dont give a shit. I never check whos been looking at mine.

Its on most sites these days were people have "profiles" personally its one thing i am not paranoid about. You'll get use to it.

It doesn't really bother me. I normally only get profile views after having been in the chat room anyway. I don't know most of the people, and that's okay too. :tongue:

I don't think it's any big deal. They could have been interested in a post you made. They could have wanted to a thread you started. They might have wanted to see if you had any friends in common. They might even want to know why a person was banned and why they came back.

Ditto that for me. I check mine everyday out of curiosity of who's dropped by.

I do find it kinda cool that I just recently went over 1,000 visits. Of course, then I saw then Mademoiselle had over 10K and got a complex. :laugh2:

haaaaa ha, you know more than i do about the clicks to my profile. i totally forget i even made one. now i have to go check it out! its rare that i read any threads to my husband but i had to read him that one because he wondered what was making me laugh so hard!

I think that a lot of people gets into profiles by mistake. Instead of clicking on the blue arrow (to go to the last post), they do it on the name.

It is almost like finding a fabulous book and then looking to see if you can find any other gems the author has penned that you havent devoured already. Yes it does seem somewhat voyeuristic but in truth it is usually pretty benign...

Yes. I have some definitive thoughts on Recent Visitors.

But I think, all things considered, it would be politic that l remain mum about them for the time being.

I like the new format with the visitor page, friends list and the blogs. I find many members very interesting on here. So i often visit many on my friends list and people i am interested in getting to know better. There are some very bright people on here. I look at my recent visitor page as a reminder to keep in touch with the many wonderful people i've become friends with on here.
