I'm just sitting here, scrolling, reading, thinking... and I thought it was worth asking; has anyone ever accidentally stumbled across someone they know on here? Or, maybe you happened to run into a person by chance and recognize them as a member?

I've seen posts asking members if anyone knows they're on this forum, but this is more a question of whether you've accidentally stumbled across a friend or acquaintance, or happened to meet another member by chance.

If you have, or if you ever do, how did you/how do you think you would react?

For me personally, I'd find it to be an interesting connection, and I probably wouldn't mind being open about it. I mean, if we're both on here, neither one of us really has anything to be embarrassed or worried about over the other.

It'd be a very unique way to connect with another person for sure...

For me personally, I'd much rather meet someone through here by chance instead of some dating app. I think people are more open on here and actually have conversations, so if I were to bump into someone by chance, I think that'd be really cool. I'm a woman, though, so that likely affects the way I look at the situation.

Interesting take. I haven't been on a dating site in years. I'm only active on a few forums, of the ones not related to my work, this is the one I'd probably enjoy it the most if I were to happen to see a photo and recognize the person, or realize that someone I'm interacting with is also a member here. I don't know why, I just think It'd be an interesting connection to bond over, and the whole barrier of potential shame of someone finding out when you don't want them to know is kind of taken away, because it's not like one person could judge the other for being here.

I have, twice actually.

One time, I was chatting with a friend of mine. He and I used to play on club soccer leagues together in the city. And we also worked out at the same gym at the time. We would usually grab a beer after a game or a workout.
I have seen him naked countless times changing for games and in the gym showers. He is packing a pretty big hog, it’s extremely thick, decently long soft, and uncut. Some thing you notice when you see it walking into the showers. Though I’ve never made any comment of it, because that’s not what most guys do.
We were at the bar one night, both single at the time, and somehow we got to talking about dating, fucking, and our dicks being a little too big for some girls to handle.
He sort of jokingly said “I actually belong to a support group for that”
And I burst out laughing. I almost spit out my beer. I said “LPSG?” And his eyes went wide.
We talked about it for the rest of the night. Talking about how much we like to forum where we could show off, compare with other dudes, and just brag about our big dicks. But agreed not to show each other our profiles because we didn’t exactly want that information getting out. Truth be told I really wanted to see his profile. We never talked about it again, explicitly, but we always gave a knowing nod to each other whenever we were hanging out after that.

The other time, I just figured out that I knew someone based on their profile. A friend of a friend has a very specific first name, and I know the specific small town he is from. His username is sort of a combination of both of those. One day when I was scrolling through this site, I saw both those names. Looked at a photo, and even though it wasn’t his face, I could definitely tell it was him, I thought about reaching out but I don’t know the guy that well. And I don’t wanna freak him out.

I wouldn’t want someone doing that to me I think. Hey, what’s up? It’s me from your real life . I think I’m good. Would rather do things on here on my own terms .

Your last paragraph made literally laugh out loud.
