I'm up at 4 AM for the gym (for reference).

My breakfast is a protein shake (1 scoop + 1 cup of whole milk) with all of my vitamins and 5g of creatine.

I drink 2 scoops of BCAAs during my workout.

After my workout, I immediately drink another protein shake that contains 5g more of creatine.

==

Once I get to work (around 8 AM), that's when I start eating all real, whole food for the rest of the day.

And then right before bed (around 9PM), I have one more protein shake.
I used to get up at 4 for the gym too. Now I go at 8. Been too tired and sore.

Anyway. I eat keto. I'm getting plenty of protein from my food. I just learned a very long time ago that I feel loads better after a workout if I have some extra protein. My favorite is the premixed Isopure, but I can't afford it, so I drink the powder. One scoop. I doubt I can utilize more than 25g of protein at a time. In my early 20's I was doing fasted workouts so strenuous I needed a nap after just to feel fine to drive home. The owner of the gym noticed and gave me a bottle of the premixed Isopure Zero Carb and within ten minutes or so I felt like I could do my workout again. Lately I wake up ravenous, so my workouts have not been done fasted for a while. But I still feel much better if I drink the shake.

As for creatine and aminos, I only take 5g/day. The aminos mix has caffeine from tea in it. It really seems to help when my motivation is flagging, and since I started taking it I notice my "high" from endorphins lasts longer. Creatine doesn't seem to do much to alter my shape but I do feel like I'm getting stronger faster than I was.

You realize I wasn't even responding to the OP when I was discussing steroid use, right? It's pretty obvious you don't know half as much as you think you do about this subject, which is the reason why you are going on a rant about essentially nothing.

But here is something I'll leave to show you how out of your league you are in regards to discussing nutrition with me.

De Novo Lipogensis, DNL, is the process from which excess dietary "blank" is converted and stored as "blank"? Explain the dietary parameters for which DNL occurs in the human body and how this can be used to minimize fat accumulation during a long term caloric surplus, aka a lean mass gaining phase.

Elevated IGF-1 levels are associated with an increased risk of developing what types of disease? What foods are scientifically proven to elevate IGF-1 levels in humans?

True or false? High protein, low carb diets result in increased cortisol levels?

No, what's obvious is that you're incapable of basic reading comprehension. I never argued that food isn't a better protein source than a protein shake, you dimwit. I said you were offering a pretentious opinion that wasn't asked for. I said that it isn't always practical for people to have "real food". You are the one who's gone on rants about a bunch of bullshit, not me. What's your problem all of a sudden, little man? Did you get dumped? Did someone tell you that your cock is too small?? Generally speaking you're a fairly reasonable guy who has a blowhard moment from time to time. Suddenly you've gone from that full-blown, insecure, bully-jackass. You're here belittling and trying to intimidate people (and doing a fucking miserable job of it, by the way)... for what? Because you're morally offended by protein shakes? Get OVER yourself.

As for your pathetic attempt at trying to look smarter than me... Give me a break, dude. Being capable of copy/pasting some random article and replacing a couple words with "blank" doesn't make you intelligent. Pretty basic trolling techniques at best. Up your game. Seriously. All this nonsense you're spouting about being bigger/better/smarter/stronger than everyone is making you look like a total tool. You sound like the little kid who tells everyone "I can fly! I just don't feel like doing it right now" or "I could kick your ass! It's just not worth it!". Get your lame ass ego in check and go try to bully and intimidate someone else, bitch. You're wasting your energy on me with that stupid shit lol

LOL you are a dumb fuck, congratulations. Kind of hilarious about this last bit here because I am taller, bigger, stronger and in far better physical shape than you are. I'd honestly be surprised if you could break 60 seconds on a 400m, pass the Navy SEAL swim test or do 15+ full ROM pull ups/chin ups, those are all things that I can easily do at 230 lbs. But continue on thinking that since you look half way decent means you know something about nutrition, loser.
all this talk but can't kissing a girl or get laid
