I think it's kinda like posting pictures of others.
Actually, I'd argue that it isn't.
For the most part, the pictures that you see posted are ones that the subject agreed to have taken in the first place. This agreement is important because photos are taken to capture a moment, after all. The subject also presumably has some control over whether they get posted on the internet. (Maybe not
always true, but I think that ordinary, everyday people have control over their private pictures before they reach the internet.) But I think people understand that once these pictures are on the internet for the world to see, they lose control of them. I don't think that anyone is foolish enough to believe that the photos they posted might not appear on someone else's website.
A private cam session is different. The subject still has to agree to the process in the first place. But I think that the subject has a reasonable expectation that he/she will not be recorded, because, after all, they're done in real time-- the intent is different than that of a photo-- and because I think there's an implicit understanding that they're meant to be
private. So if you're recording these webcam sessions without the other party's consent, well, I'd say you're breaking a moral code. Maybe the guys that you describe as being "jerks/rude" sensed that you were up to something that they didn't agree to.
For what it's worth, I observe that you don't have any pictures posted here or over on Yahoo. I assume that this is because you'd like to maintain your privacy. I hope you understand that anyone that chooses to share any pictures or webcam sessions with you will expect the same consideration of privacy in return.
