I find it hard to get hard and stay hard during the first few sessions of sex with a new partner, due to the nerves basically. I'm in my mid 20s.

I recently filled out one of these questionnaires on an online pharmacy as a "big day" is coming up and I am considering picking up some kind of ED drug just to help things run smoothly. Then I saw the prices! 60-100 pounds for about 4 tablets!!

So I want to be 100% sure... does these things work for guys in my situation: young, psychological rather than physiological causes of lack of erection, and thirdly can you guys recommend anything else that might help?

Oh and which is better? Cialis, Viagra or Levitra?

Cialis and Levitra are longer acting and last for 24 hours or more. Viagra must be taken about 30 to 60 minutes before you "perform".

Heed the cautions above. Drugs can help the nervous lover but it is better to learn how to relax. There is no need to try to be a sexual Olympic athlete. It's really about self confidence and self esteem.

I'm really not there yet, I joined this forum back when I felt larger than average, now, after a few more years of porn exposure, I actually feel inadequate. Coupled with bad experiences with an ex and I have been struggling to get back on track sexually. I am confident is all other aspects of my life except penetrative sex...

I read that these drugs don't have any effect on younger men, true?

My advice is to see a urologist and get a prescription. If you have insurance, it'll be cheap. I've only tried Viagra, but talk to the doc about which to use. My sense is some of them will get you ready at any time, but Viagra takes 15 minutes to kick in, and you can kiss for that long.

The psychological v. physiological question is a version of the mind-body problem. They're bound together.

And Google the Relaxation Response and read e.g. Using the relaxation response to reduce stress - Harvard Health Publications.

My stress levels are not really the issue, it's just that I am somewhat sexually inexperienced and so still get performance anxiety and this affects my erections pretty bad. I'm hoping one of these drugs will help me get through the first few sessions with a girl without having to worry.

If I went to see a urologist he would be furious that I wasted his time with this matter! I work in health care, believe me lol.

I think the issue that you are clearly anxious about the whole process will bring you undone... which probably doesn't help you.

The risk of taking the drugs to maintain the erection is the risk of a psychological dependency and that can really fuck with your self-esteem too.

I wouldn't recommend taking them unless you REALLY need it, you're better off just playing and getting comfortable.

Avoid any of the ED pills unless you absolutely can't get an erection. Many of these medications have side-effects, and the effects of long-term use haven't been determined so far as I've heard. I don't enjoy the side-effects of either viagra or cialis, but I'm old and don't worry about long-term use.

No need for an otherwise healthy man in his 20s to take ED pills. If you're in shape and get regular exercise, that should help. Healthy diet? Try doing some fresh vegetable juice. I find that celery juice helps me to get a tad bit harder than usual and cum like a fire hose.

Note to self: "Acquire celery juice" during the next marketing experience.

I've been having some issues also. I stopped jerking off and watching porn (I stumble from time to time), but I've been surely getting my libido and erections back to normal. Just will yourself to resist the temptation. It's better worth it than stressing and desensitizing your mind and body out.

you're gonna need a 'scrip to get any pills from a pharmacy. insurance does NOT cover the cost, at least mine doesn't.
work on your physical health. a man your age should not need erection pills. I'm almost 60 and have only had a few problems in the last couple years. when I was mid 20's I got hard if a girl winked at me. at 26 I got married and me and the wife had sex 4 times a day.

Now this is a good point. I jack off all the god damn time, like 6 times a day usually, and I've been desensitised by porn.

Probably this is the bulk of the problem in fact.

I'm meeting the girl in 2 weeks, so I think starting today... no more than one wank between now and then haha.

Still not sure if I should get the pills or not, it reduces the refractory period too so that could be fun. I'm obviously not taking it long term so I don't know why people are mentioning long term side effects.

Yeah, 6 times a day will do that to ya, haha! How about no more than zero? Try it.

Most MD's have sample packs of Viagra and Cialis that they give out for free so you can try it. There is no "health food" option that in fact works. There are a ton of quacks out there telling you that herbals work just s well and that there are no side effects. One of the most common used in herbals is Yohimbie.

There have been a few problems with these drugs, but they are publicized simply because it is headlines and a discussion of a forbidden subject. In truth there are far more out there who have created problems with Tylenol because it can destroy the liver at very low dosage. The safety and effectiveness of the current trio have been such that I anticipate seeing these go OTC at some point within the next ten years. There are also about 5 more which are supposed to be even better in the pipeline.

See if you can get some samples from your MD for nothing because performance anxiety is very real.

The constant masturbation is also really anxiety in that you want sex very badly and turn yourself on to the point that you actually need it, and then when the partner is available there is nothing left because your fantasies have prevented the reality. I would suggest cutting the number of times per day down to no more than once if there is even the slightest possibility of a partner showing up on the scene.

There is another reason and that is that if you have some supply left over you are more prone to be a little more "animalistic" on one hand while more relaxed once things work for you.

Good luck. . . . . .

You don't need a script for ED pills. Just over a week ago, I ordered some meds online from Canada and they included two Viagra in the shipment as a free gift-with-purchase. Google Canadian Pharmacy and you can order all the broke dick pills you'll ever need.

They are pricey, but the thing is that you won't need a full dosage to put the wind back in your sails. Get a pill splitter. If you go with Viagra, I'd say you should probably start with just 1/4 of a pill and go from there. If that works out for you, you've just quartered your cost-per-dosage.

I read that these drugs don't have any effect on younger men, true?

Absolutely false. The first time I took Viagra, I was 23 and it was casually offered to me at the start of weekend-long fourgy (turns out, I was glad to have it). I was given 1/2 a pill, which turned out to be overkill. Not only did it enable me to perform on command until my three friends were satisfied, I continued to get wood every time the breeze kicked up for the following three days. Also, I have rather full lips (not quite bee-stung, but very nearly) and I could easily tell that Viagra also made my lips plump up, as well. It's very trippy.

I've taken a full dosage of Cialis before as well, but never Levitra so I can't help you there. I didn't find the effects of the Cialis to be quite as intense as that of Viagra. To be honest, I didn't really notice any effects at all, but this happened to occur during the week that I had the absolute hottest sex of my entire life, by a wide margin, so I seriously doubt that getting hard and staying hard would have been an issue at all, even without the pharmaceutical.

One thing I would caution you about is that, if you do decide to order some ED meds, be mindful to look up the potential interactions and contraindications to make sure you're in the clear. For instance, I happen to know off hand that sniffing poppers while you're on Viagra will fuck your shit up, royally.

I was in this exact situation. Medically, I don't think I needed this stuff. But I asked for it because I had only been with one woman and was rather intimidated at the prospect of engaging in sex with another partner who was more experienced than I was. I lacked sexual self confidence and was also not sure what to think of my size as well. I got a prescription - and it was expensive. My insurance didn't cover much if any of it.

The stuff helped. If you are horney, you will get hard on it no problem. I don't care if you're nervous or not if the desire is there the flesh will follow.

Viagra has some potential for abuse IMO because it makes it easier to stay hard and perform multiple times and it also will give you an erection that is tough to match when you aren't on the drug.

Viagra loses it's patent on 3/27/12. They are saying Pfizer will be coming out with a different product, but after that date anyone can make generic Viagra and charge any price they want. I guess the usage of it will skyrocket once it becomes cheap.
