This brings up another grievance: that you can't put a cost on human life.
[post=347714]Quoted post[/post]
it depends on the human. the vast majority of human lives are essentially worthless; in fact they have a negative value because they get in the way of everything else. there are many more productive ways in which their biomass could be utilized - how about restoring the growing regions of over-farmed soil all around the world, for example.

You're seeing this in a moral light if you think most humans would have a negative value assigned to them. You're in the realm of philosophy, not economics. I think Rupert Murdoch is bankrupt as far as character is concerned, but has an undeniably huge economic worth based on the wealth he has created.

It's not the dismal science for nothing.

While I love the fact that someone thinks their one little view of the world equals universal truth....ugh, you get the point. Anecdotal evidence is very nearly worthless and it drives me nuts. I wouldn't mind someone telling of their experiences if they wouldn't go on to attempt to apply it as universal, verified factual reality based on their own limited experience. It's the old "because it's like this for ME, it must be true for everyone." -note americanised punctuation, are you happy now?

My second favorite, and a very close second at that is "What to the women think of...?"
Like there's some inner lpsg voice that knows what ALL WOMEN WANT! No one ever gets it that women are individuals just like men. They keep seeking to find the ONE answer that will work for every woman on the planet, and it is constantly stupefying.

By the way, what have I ever suggested that was so radical? I haven't suggested implementing NEW laws, only enforcing the ones we have. Isn't that what you said as well? I don't really see myself as a radical. I pointed out that in the real world, in my own personal experience, it was very rare that the laws were being observed, and I suggested ways of monitoring employment practices to see that they were observed, that doesn't seem radical to me, just common sense. I don't advocate a free ride for anyone, only holding people's feet to the fire to do what our country has already decided it wants us to do. This should be over and done with by now, my frustration is mainly that it is NOT over, and we are still arguing the merits of respecting each other's rights.

Shelby, I'm glad that my posts intrigue you enough to spend time researching them, but I did fail to convey my point, so I'll try again.

I was talking about anecdotal experience being used too broadly. I should have said that, but when I said "their one little view" I was hoping the point was made. Apparently it was not.

When a guy says, "I've seen a hell of a lot of cocks and this is something I've noticed..." then I WANT to hear what he has to say. What I object to is someone who says "everyone I've ever seen is........" and then they reveal that they've seen exactly three guys naked. I'll make a more pointed reference, a 15 year old saying "in my experience" and then going on to use that line as a proof for a theory. Get it now?

In the example you quoted of mine, I feel I have had more than anecdotal exerience in the workplace, having had about 35 jobs in various fields, running the gamut from entry level to management and now running my own business. I have now been working for nearly thirty years, so compared to some of the people with whom I was conversing, I felt my experience was broader. I had qualified my comments earlier in the discussion, so isolating that one quote was deceptive.

I'm a big fag, for the most part, hehe. And Madame Zora makes and keeps me in a lustful state of excitement daily. I can only surmise that "SUMYUNGUY" has his percentages reversed.

And regarding the good Dr's hair....HOT, HOT, HOT! I have regular fantasies about tying the boy down and slowly, tortuously cutting each prized lock off and then erotically shaving his head as clean as a billiard ball. I have to go now.

Persons who refer to themselves in plural are not to be treated as sane.

You sure picked the right thread to show up in!

Nigga, she'd slap the burger crumbs off your third chin if she heard you speaking foul on her name.

Madame Zora, I apologize. I can't edit my post for some reason.

Okay, I'm as confused as I can get. Sumyunguy, I think you reversed the genders in your attempted insult, otherwise it just deosn't make sense at all.

Dilznick, I'm slow on the uptake, were you asking me for buttsex? You don't owe me any apology, frankly I don't give a fuck what an idiot like him says about me.
