There is a personals section. There is a show off section. There's a place to talk about sex, there's sooo many options for people who want to discuss penis. I loved having this little corner to just blabber and get away from all that with the members I've come to know and luv.

I'm sorry mods, I know I'm being difficult... I already posted a thread in Suggestions and Announcements. I'm just feeling like I'm not the only one who would really appreciate it if these threads weren't just thrown wherever people are going to "report" the least.

If there's anywhere to send the "default" threads, maybe it should be one of the penis focused sections where many posters would welcum the material?

@chicagosam is doing a good job of trying to get the non-Et Cetera themed posts/posters redirected to the more appropriately-themed threads, but seriously, should he even have to? Maybe it's time to make him and moderator and he can just be in charge of moving such threads?

I have had to unwatch Etc because of the constant off-topic/cock topic threads being directed to the sub-forum. With the exception of this thread every alert I've had from Etc has been off-topic. Most of the threads on the first three pages all belong in other sub-forums. Almost none of the topics are Etc.

Ms. TnJ is nicer than I am, so I'll keep my bitching to myself and simply raise my hand as asked. I want Etc back.

This is a porn site now, it's no longer an adult themed site with humor, I get that. But not every section needs to be a shooting gallery of peen.

Yes please. I would 1000% support @chicagosam moderating and moving threads to appropriate sections. Let New Member Introduction be for actual new member introductions, let Etc be for the threads that don't fit anywhere else. Not personal ads and showing off and models/celebrities. Nothing wrong with any of those kinds of posts, there just are already sections for them...

I'm not really doing much, but early on in the week when I noticed the front page or two of Et Cetera STILL spammed with misplaced content, knocking some of my favorite threads off the top page, I got fed up and figured posting the link to the correct forum would hopefully send a message to the OP to ask a mod for a move to appropriate forum. I noticed a few of the things got moved, too! A good portion still remain, however. Le sigh

T&J, you aren't alone; this has gone way too far, what with people interpolating threads about soliciting personal ads, webcam, what have you.
I too have personally loved going to this section for all the current events that go on here, and am saddened when people are seriously that obtuse and/or obstinate to fundamentally understand that time and place for the shit they want, IE ads, webcam...is not here.

I am super reluctant to hit report because don't want to flood mod area w/ reports, when Rob ostensibly knows about the issue & will fix in due time.

It just sucks because this is one of my favorite forums and I hate seeing it overrun with run-on sentences about clocks dripping semen. (Leaving the typo, because it's funny and makes me think of an x-rated Dali.)

Whenever I get the chance, I'm going to just keep pasting links to appropriate forums and hope for the best. I want the front page of et cetera back!

I'm actually a bit irregular here. It's like an all out blurt....or a constrained squeak.

One thing no-one can see though, is if I be decent while conversing.

I don't know about the ignore thingy, it comes up often in threads. My additive to the mixture here is that not all the time personally do I hear what I wish to hear in life.....Not all the time someone has an opinion which agrees with mine.

I ask myself, am I ignorant or selfish if I do not listen? Am I ignorant or selfish to only have my own opinion?

Sometimes opinions change with age and experience, probably why I do not ignore anyone.

I will not tolerate outright hate. I find opinions in this area are very rarely persuaded to see just what damage hate can do to a soul, their own, and humanity as a whole.

Well, I appreciate what you’re doing. But are we being too nice? What is taking Rob so long to change things? Should we be reporting like maniacs? I hate to do that to the mods, but this is seriously out of control.

I also agree that this section needs cleaning up, straightening out and more moderation. It seems as if 9 out of 10 are "Gimme" threads ("I want cock", "I want sex", "I want nude pics of [latest internet celebrity]") with very few, if any, asking for any discussion. I've also noticed that some are from members who joined long ago (I've seen some Joined from the early 2000s) but with very few messages (less than a dozen or so Messages) so presumably they are aware of the perimeters of the section.

You are totally right and I don't understand that other threads on this forum don't get deleted or put somewhere else at least. Why don't they put a note next to this thread headline that any sexual contents aren't allowed here???
