Relationship with my parents going bad.

I pretty much think that I had a terrible mother. :-( I don't hate her for it though. I feel badly that she felt the need to make one bad decision after the other and also felt the need to keep secrets that hurt her children, but mostly herself in the end. She passed away and I was there the whole time she was ill. I regret nothing except not being able to at least understand her side while I was still young.

I don't agree with her choices, but they were hers. She can have them. I chose to make my life what I felt it could be. If I blamed her for all the terrible things that happened...my life would be empty and full of hurt.

I am thankful she didn't have an abortion. I think about it all the time. She could have....
