the nutbags in AZ might make her a Senator but i doubt that Alaska would. Might be her way to stay in the public eye, also both she and loose thighed daughter each own a house there.

I think she's unlikely to undergo a salary cut and added responsibilities: she'll stay a kingmaker without the sludge of an actual job.

Bush is sorry she is not running, if she would by some remote fluke win, he could stop being the dumbest president.

Not disagreeing, but how much longer is Fox going to pay her ?a million a year? to have GVS lob softball questions to her?

According to a relative who lives in AZ, they're so rabidly right-wing out there Sarah can run and win and do no work, not have to debate, just avoid all controversies and talk about Real Americans and coast to victory.

I'm not aware of the exact details of her contract with FNC, though I'm sure that she'd take a significant pay-cut were she elected to the Senate. Another thing to consider is that, much like Sharon Angle and that nut from Delaware, any candidacy for the US Senate would be subject to harsh, intense media scrutiny. She'd be unable to escape it, unlike she did to the astonishing degree she did during 2008.

There's also the fact that the GOP establishment loathes her. She may get the Teabaggers and the flaming Neocons, but she's just poison to the GOP beltway insiders, who hold her in contempt as a flake, a quitter and a know-nothing, incurious opportunist grifter.

I sincerely believe that she'll stick around as a talking head, but her actual career governing anything is long behind her.

Bb - not disagreeing, and I hope you're right, but I see her value as a talking head diminishing greatly after this election cycle...after all, she really doesn't say anything, just the "Real Americans" over and over. She's not like Malkin who actually says different things on different days.

> She may get the Teabaggers and the flaming Neocons,

I hear that's a significant portion of the Republican voters in Arizona.

As far as the media scrutiny goes, Rand Paul made it through, as well as Toomey of Pennsylvania (people there actually think the "Club for Growth" would let them into it? Oh please.)
