I follow a religion that condemns homosexuality. I believe what the Bible says completley. The Bible is God's inspired word. Inspired of God, written by man. If a person truly knows God and is a born again believer he or she will have no problem believing the Bible as God's inspired word. If they do not truly know God or believe this, according to God's word they are doomed. Again, the emphasis is placed upon truly knowing God, that is the difference. That is the reason so many people are radically changed when they accept Christ as Savior.
Knowing Christ as Savior doesn't mean a believer can't fall into sin though. I fell into sin, homosexuality rather, and cannot depart from it. I believe it is wrong but it took the place of what was intended, heterosexuality, and is the strongest and largest entity I have faced in mortal life. God knows that, but that doesn't change His word. God has compassion on homosexuality but doesn't condone it. Grace isn't a licsence to sin, so the believer has no excuse. That is what I believe. I still choose to follow homosexuality though.
God's compassion is why the world is still in existence. We're conceived and born into sin, prone to fail. We all fail in God's eyes, somewhere, and always will.
It's all about compassion. I choose to sin becasue I am not strong enough to turn from my sin. I admit to God I don't want to turn from sin but that doesn't mean I don't acknowledge my sin.
Just being honest.
^^^^THIS GUY! RIGHT HERE!
We ALL sin! A person who is gay isn't any more or any less a sinner than me and all the things I've done as a straight man.
Just wanted to say that. And wanted to thank you for posting this.
