I have just bought an Xbox360 and a 40game compilation featuring games from the sega megadrive era (god, it makes me sound like 150) and have spent a couple hours just looking and reminding myself before i play properly later.

Its got only a few i have actually ever played but among them:-

    Golden Axe 1, 2 & 3
    Streets of Rage 1, 2 & 3
    Sonic the Hedgehog and
Shining in the Darkness (absolutely loved playing this RPG and now i get to play again 15 years on...woohoo i'm a kid again!)

Anyone else ever have the megadrive?

I only had a master system - w/Alex Kidd and Sonic.

I bought the Sega Genesis (I'm a yank) Collection for the PS2 and it was a lot of fun reliving the old games. Loved the Mega Drive but an even bigger fan of the Master System.

Got one for my 13th birthday. Shining Force 2 was my favorite game. SF1 was the better games in terms of storyline and epic feel, but SF2 was by far the better game in terms of gameplay. As someone somewhere else put it, it was by far the more polished of the two.

Although I also had plenty of fun with Sonic 2, NBA Jam, and some others I'm probably forgetting.

Remeber spending hours at friends' houses playing FIFA 94 (i think it was 94), all the Sonic games - so good, Aladdin... then moved on to the N64.
