I think they were going in two separate directions.
According to Reno, it just wasn't the right time for them to be together. Not sure how the last four years of their being together was the right time and now it's not, but that's how he explained it.
Some have speculated that Austin may have soured on being the boyfriend of a sex worker now that he graduated from medical school. Others have speculated that Reno wanted to move to California (he's now living in Marina Del Rey) and Austin didn't want to move with him.
We'll never know the real reasons behind the break-up but according to Reno, he has a best friend for life.
Reno did say that but I’m not sure I believe it. They both stopped following each other on IG. AUSTIN still follows couple of his secondary accounts but his main account that he post on regularly with 540K followers Austin no longer follows. If they were best friends you would think they would still follow. Who knows the real reason… hate it for both of them.
I'm sure Reno was trying to paint the break-up in the most positive way possible.

It's very funny, because I could swear that Reno said he would never want to leave Florida in a recent interview. Was that a lie, or did his break up change his mind?
Well, wanting to move could be because of some of the ongoing..... "stuff" in Florida in regards to our community. Have to be very vague because of the politic rules, but I think anyone with access to google knows what I'm meaning.
Just speculation by some. Who knows why Reno decided to move to LA? It's not as if his living in Miami interfered with his sex work; he was able to travel anywhere to film. Does LA/Southern California provide him more opportunities than Miami/Southern Florida? I'm not sure it matters these days.
As for the poster above with the comment about some of us taking an interest in Reno's personal life, all I can say is that for me, it's because Reno is a very interesting guy who has opened up his personal life to his fans. So why shouldn't we be invested?
Ever since I watched my first Reno Gold scene, what struck me was the picture of him and Austin on his bookcase in his apartment (I've mentioned this already on previous posts). The fact that he has a photo so prominently displayed meant to me that he really cared about the guy in the pic (who turned out to be his now-ex Austin). And that photo frame followed him when he moved (he was very proud to show off his new condo) so them breaking up is "upsetting" for some of us (for lack of a better word) because that photo, to me anyway, meant that Austin was more than just a regular fuckbud or FWB to Reno.
I found it sweet. That's pretty much it.

It could be a mix of things. Austin, for the last several years has had to devote most of his time to med school and residency. I know the hours, concentration and dedication that takes. I finished all of that last year. So it could be that problems were brewing but Austin had more important things to deal with.
So now that he’s single do we think there’s any chance he’s actually going to fuck or get fucked, or is he just going to stick with what he’s always done?

Just some random thoughts here, but looking at Reno's most current tweets or IG stories, I'm finding his content is the same as his OF channel - writhing/gesticulating like a pole dancer without the pole, acting like a stripper without removing his clothes (except for going shirtless)... it's as boring as his sexual content. Then I started thinking, maybe he's actually boring in bed too? And maybe that's one of the reasons why he and Austin broke up?

Reguarly sucking dick doesn't necessarily mean you're good at it. However, I can't imagine he's bad in bed. He was a prostitute for like 5 or so years; if he was bad at sex that reputation would have got around pretty quick.
