Repeating replies

Why do some replies repeat themselves until the page ends? That can be very annoying and disconcerting. Thank you in advance for any help.

My guess is that it's an error caused by the boards being shifted from past incarnations to the present one. Also, it seems to occur with former members on the site that are no longer active.

Salthebb,

At the top of your screen, right above the first post you see, there is a menu. The rightmost part of the menu reads: "Display Modes". You are in "Linear Mode" by default. If you want to avoid seeing repeated posts, choose "Hybrid Mode" or "Threaded Mode".
