Back in this thread, The Grand Old Party, I outlined the EIGHT YEARS of deliberate Republican Obstructionism, and the myriad ways their scorched earth campaign of "NO" did great harm to MANY Americans.

Nevertheless, in spite of their malevolent conspiracy to undermine programs that sought to empower, employ, and ASSIST Americans, they were rewarded by an equally malevolent and misinformed LOT (aka, the deplorables) by getting sent back to Congress, so that they could continue to do the SAME.

And they're already at it, as evidenced by the articles BELOW:

GOP declares Trump innocent before any impeachment begins, while McConnell sits on 100 bills

Mitch McConnell reached a milestone last week. That’s when the Senate majority leader quashed his 100th bill of the year. That’s one hundred pieces of legislation—on infrastructure, on health care, on gun safety, on every single topic that American voters say is important to them in their everyday lives—that haven’t just stalled on McConnell’s desk, but have been forwarded directly to the trash can.

Because in order to make it appear that Democrats “have done nothing,” Republicans have done something. They’ve returned to the exact policy that McConnell pioneered under President Obama: Don’t cooperate on anything, at any time, no matter how important. Don’t expect this strategy to end. For the next two years, Republicans will regularly, daily, beat their chests over how Democrats just won’t pass legislation on important topics, while McConnell directs that exact legislation to the circular file. And they all laugh up their sleeves.

GOP Leaders Say Democrats Achieved 'Nothing' Since Taking Over The House, But 100 Bills Await Action in the Senate
https://www.newsweek.com/republicans-democrats-house-senate-100-bills-1433843
"Republican leaders have slammed Democrats for not getting enough done in Congress even though more than 100 bills passed this year by the House of Representatives currently sit in the GOP-controlled Senate awaiting action.

Similar remarks were made by Donald Trump and White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Thursday morning.

[Trump] wrote on Twitter that “Democrats are getting nothing done in Congress. All of their effort is about a Re-Do of the Mueller Report, which didn’t turn out the way they wanted. It is not possible for them to investigate and legislate at the same time.”

During an appearance on CNN, Sanders asked “what significant pieces of legislation they have passed that are going to change the course of this country?” She also said that it is “a complete lie” that Democrats think they can investigate Trump and also pass bills.

But Democrats have passed more than 100 pieces of legislation on issues ranging from gun control to health care since gaining majority control in the House in January. Those bills have yet to be taken up by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Here's a List of What Democrats in Congress Have Been Doing While Trump Says They're Doing Nothing

Meanwhile, what of that hellfire GOP "tax cut" passed by the GOP charlatans?

GOP Tax Law Doing Little For The Economy, Even Less For Workers: Congressional Study | HuffPost

"The sweeping tax law Republicans enacted in late 2017 is definitely not paying for itself and has not significantly boosted the economy or increased wages, the non-partisan Congressional Research Service said in a report.

But in line with what critics cautioned, the measure triggered a wave of corporate stock buybacks that benefited investors more than anybody else, according to the new study.

“While evidence does indicate significant repurchases of shares, either from tax cuts or repatriated revenues, relatively little was directed to paying worker bonuses...

... it turns out that even the most generous assessment of corporate bonuses... amounted to 2% or 3% of the value of the corporate tax cut. And the law might not even deserve credit.

“Worker bonuses could also be a result of a tight labor market and attributed to the tax cut as a public relations move,” Gravelle and Maples wrote.

Another explanation for the surge in bonuses could be that companies wanted to issue extra compensation at the end of 2017, because doing so before the law took effect would allow them to deduct the pay at a rate of 35% instead of 21%.

... companies announced more than $1 trillion worth of stock buybacks, which inflate the value of shares by reducing their supply. Most stock is owned by the richest 10% of Americans, including corporate executives themselves...

Reviewing the literature, Gravelle and Maples conclude that the tax cut only marginally contributed to economic growth.“On the whole, the growth effects tend to show a relatively small (if any) first-year effect on the economy,” the report said.

With that level of restrained growth, the analysts say the tax law will fall well short of paying for itself ―contrary to what many Republicans have claimed.

In fact, the report estimates that GDP growth will offset 5% or less of the revenue lost as a result of the tax cuts — meaning the GOP promises that the law would pay for itself may come up 95% short.

The report also says real wage growth has not significantly increased since the tax cuts went into effect.

It also said that the real wage rate for production and nonsupervisory workers grew by just 1.2% ― essentially meaning lower and middle-wage earners saw hardly any boost to their paychecks.

The report also pokes a hole in another GOP defense of the tax cuts — that they’ve led to businesses reinvesting their tax savings back into their firms.

Gravelle and Maples look at rates of capital investment before and after the tax cuts, and they conclude that it would be “premature” to say businesses are reinvesting capital any more than they already would have been.

“To date this pattern has not been observed,”

IN OTHER WORDS, the GOP did what they ALWAYS DO. CONNED their base and wrote big FAT CHECKS to their wealthy cronies while P-------------- upon the average American worker.

I think they call that "TRICKLING DOWN" if I'm not mistaken.

HEY A-----------LES. ARE YA WINNING YET?????
