I'm planning a weekend getaway to Palm Springs next month. Does anybody have hotel recommendations in PS? I'm looking for a clothing-optional place, nice pool in a central location---my budget is around $200 per nite. On site gym would be a plus. Thanks in advance. Also, are there any Weekend Pool Parties going on in Oct?

What are you planning on doing in Palm Springs, and will you have a car?
As for pool party - again, are you looking for a social occasion or a hook-up opportunity? For the latter, that is mostly done through day or evening passes at the local resorts. Otherwise, you might have ore luck at the bars and restaurants downtown.

I'm looking for to relax for a weekend. I won't have a car -- I'll Uber my way around, but I like to hike to explore. I don't really plan to hookup, but if it happens--I wouldnt mind. I really want to bask in the sun (I'm in the Bay area, and we've had a record cold summer). Any suggestions in central Palm Spring would be appreciated.
My husband and I used to stay at a Palm Springs resort every year, but we haven’t stayed at any resorts for the last few years. Instead, when we go to Palm Springs, we rent a private home with a pool.
Of the gay resorts that we have stayed at that we would recommend are: the Hacienda (upscale and laid back), the Triangle Inn (small and quiet), and the Desert Paradise (clean and affordable).
We did not go to PS to hook up, but if that’s what you are looking for you will find it anywhere in PS. The resorts I mentioned are nice, quiet accommodations that we enjoyed but it has been several years, so things may have changed.
