Going to get away from the cold, eh? Right now, according to Google, it's 43º F there, which sounds pretty balmy to me.

I was stranded there for 24 hours once. I had a blast. The nightlife is really fun. My friend and I signed up for a bar tour and we had a great time and met some really fun (also stranded people) Make sure you have a hot dog; it's a gourmet treat in Iceland.
