I thought it was a good movie. Some parts were a little confusing but overall I don’t get the hate.
I thought the representation was done really well without being over the top. And I was moved by almost all the characters…even the ones with questionable decisions/logic.
The only problem is that a movie like this requires 4 hours….2 hours to get invested in the characters….1 hour of build up and conflict…and the last hour for acting and climax.

Not surprised about that. A lot of people will see the critics’ responses to a movie and if they are bad, they chose not to pay to see it because they think it might not be worth it. Add that to the whole pandemic affecting the movie industry and it’s not surprising when a movie doesn’t do well in the box office
The movie lacks a-listers. It doesn’t have any actors from the Marvel franchise directly connected to it nor any well-known super heroes directly connected to it. While no one besides big comic book stans know who the hell The Eternals are. All of that along with the iffy reviews and some of the pre-hating, I wasn’t expecting it to do big box office.
Lack of a-listers?, Angelina Jolie stole the movie, also Salma, Kit and Richard, well and Harry Styles as Thano's brother. The other cast members are amazing too, people need to let go the old and embrace the new.

I still think that villain Ikaris is the best Ikaris, he stole the movie at the end, but he's not the best of the team (Druig was the best) and the love story with Sersi is boring and dumb (Gilgamesh and Thena is my ship).
Still, he's so hot in the movie!

Yeah, I google-searched the character since I'd heard that Richard looks nothing like the guy in the comic and in both of the first two pictures I found of the comic version he has that dick-flap thingy. I don't know what that's called, but they didn't create it just because Richard's hung like a porn star.
