I spoke to him a few times on Cam4 and I got to say he is not that intelligent. He didnt know anything about starting up his own site. He assumed it cost tens of thousands of dollars. I was like Rich a website cost $10 to register and from there just server cost. He asked about girls. I said do you know how many girls will fuck you for free? Can you read? I said $10 for registration. Server cost separate. What ever the cost of a site in the long run makes no difference. You dont have to pay that amount up front. You always pay as the site grows bigger. You think tube sites start out paying thousands of dollars a month in server cost with just a few pages of videos?

They can, and they can also easily run more like 15-20k. It takes many man hours to create a website, especially a custom one with e-commerce or a lot of complexity.

Yeah, you can create a basic WordPress theme in 20 mins with 100 bucks or so (most hosts charge less if you pay 1 year in advance). Its gonna be nothing much more than a blog, and will take some know how to turn it into any kind of money maker. Non-IT people don't always have time to self-learn this stuff.

Yeah, I'm a web developer at a lower end cost hosting/development site. We charge half of our competitors, so it isn't like we are the super expensive ones either. It CAN easily cost 150 bucks an hour for some design sites (our competitors charge this), and a medium sized site with custom features can easily run 120+ hours of work.

I'd never personally call somebody an idiot because he didn't know ONE thing. OMG, I don't know how to fix a modern transmission, I must be an idiot.

You certainly have to pay for site design upfront. He'll need credit card processing. He'll need a decent amount of content upfront, because no one is going to join a site that has only a couple of videos. Marketing? Someone to maintain the site? This all costs a fuck ton more than $10.
Unless he's trying to create the Top Ramen of porn, you're looking at several thousand dollars to get a professional site up and running.

Richard Mann had several websites and blogs in the past. If he wants to build one now its up to him and he knows what he needs to do. Alot of these porn actors are just don't want to put in the hard work and would rather be a feature actor on a site and be put on contract and just get paid.
