I admire Pryor for being ahead of his time, in joking about fucking dudes in his material back in the 60's, and get laughs without ridicule on the backdrop of REAL DEAL Homophobia from back in the day. Not the somebody hurt my feelings homophobia of today.

Gotta' admire how genius it was they got away with doing that back then, Pryor is able to joke about with no repercussion, and now Pryor's widow comes from the rear(no pun intended) to now say yeah, it happened and it's no big deal...

Fuck me indeed - I am so over Gay Pride and Mr GAY 2018 - it seems like a new plague/tyranny of the times.

"Partying with abs" is not part of the political change or personal contentment that I regard as essential to the wellbeing of gay people, and seems to me to be more of a distraction from the day to day politics and grass roots advocacy of living a good gay life.

If I was running Gay School we'd be studying the life and work of different men, who loved sex with men, every day. Knowledge and learning from these guys is an essential part of our place in the world.

So on the money in terms of a rejection of the hyper commercial, exclusive/excluding the other gay identities. I genuinely believe it’s very destructive, and does no one any favours, apart from those coining it from those who subscribe, whether it’s Andrew Christian underpants or an only fans account.

It’s not to be too judgemental, but the role models we need are the regular gay dudes, just getting on with it, doing their thing, with a smattering of Sir Micheal Bishops and Alan Turings.

There are so many gay men who are heroes in their communities that I can think of. They have been all their lives. None are under 60 and none have abs. Jesus fucking Christ.
