I've had a couple experiences now where I've been asked to rim. It's not really my thing, but it's an expectation in the types of things I enjoy with guys. I usually just do a little cuz I really don't like it that much. In my most recent meetup, but guy ate me out.

Is it possible to "catch something" from either rimming or being rimmed or eaten out? I don't mean the obvious like E. coli etc. I know that's the risk I take and it will pass. I mean STIs.

Right but Google sometimes overstates things. If I have a bump on my back with a little white ring about it Google will say it's likely cancer. I was more looking for lived experience with this.

To be fair, anecdotal evidence, like you will get on a site like this equally unreliable.

The difference with Google is that you can check the source providing the information and evaluate the weight of the information. Here, you have mostly anonymous people who you can't verify.

That is a possibility, though smaller than other sex acts. That is why sexually active gay/bi men should be on Prep.

You should get the Hepatitis A and hepatitis B combination vaccine.

I’d get tested about every 6 months and when ask about sexual past since last test I’d give them an idea how many and what did.. they’d lecture me about protective sex.. but I still didn’t use condoms

I use msn search.. and couple sites does well .. webmd I think is one that is perfect for anything

Same here with the testing. But I think being a serial monogamist does play into why. There are many protection options there! If I am rimming, we are taking a shower first even with great hygiene.

That's because google is a search engine. You asked if you can get something from rimming... the answer was hell yes. Google can't overstate that. You're more likely to get misinformation asking a group of uneducated, ill-informed gay men on a porn server.

anyone who is HIV + and taking their meds are undetectable and untransmissable. Unless you are having sex with someone from a third world country, or someone who is completely in denial and never goes to a doctor, then yes you are susceptible to getting STI and hiv. any male who is having sex w men should have doxycycline at their disposal (Doxyprep - post exposure prophylaxis) when having sex and everyone should be on prep ( pre exposure prophylaxis) to avoid getting hiv. If you are unaware of any of this information you need to speak to a gay doctor ( straight doctors arent informed as well ) or go to a clinic to get all your questions answered and get the meds you need to have unrestricted beautiful sex with men.
