With the death of Marilyn Chambers, a wonderful element of porn passes away (so to speak).

I still recall the day WAY back in the late 70s at a bar near the Ohio State campus when a waitress there looked very familiar to me. Turns out she went to the same high school in Connecticut that I did. We chatted a bit and at one point she said "Well you HEARD about Marilyn Briggs, didn't you?" When I said I hadn't she replied "That's Marilyn Chambers!"

I couldn't get home to my yearbook fast enough, and sure enough. The girl who rode my bus home from school was indeed Miss Chambers. She'd also just been in Playboy so I had to buy that issue and compare pix. The accompanying article (Yes, I bought it for the articles!) confirmed it all.

I just remember reading about her passing- damn shame, and way too young. Yeah, it's been a blast all right. For all the guys she made blast off their jizz at the end of their fuck scenes. DAMN, why can't NJ have cougars like her no more?:sad:
