This thread is to discuss nominees and your projections and what will happen in the next election.

Republicans will have Trump and so far it looks like Warren and Biden are the front runners for the democratic party.

Personally, I believe it will be Trump and Warren with Sanders as her VP. What say you?

Sanders is not VP material for anyone. He would not want to give up the position of influence he has as a Senator. VP would effectively muzzle him for at least 4 years. I'm inclined to see Warren as the nominee at this point, but think the VP will be someone who has not run for pres. this time (which does narrow the field). Of the field running now, only Booker would be a decent fit with Warren. I'm not sure if he would take it.

Warren/Abrams is my prediction.

I'll keep it to myself. Why let the opposition know who to focus their attention on?
The internet was supposed to be the tool of free speech and freedom...
And now we are afraid to tell our opinions.

Not because we fear punishments, but because we expect that "someone" is able to collect this information and use it for what ever he likes.

Whomever the opposition gleans is the likely candidate they'll focus all their machinery on to attempt to smear. Right now the majority of the attention is on Biden but if it looked like Klobucher were likely to get he nod it's a sure bet all the negative propaganda would be aimed at her.

I don't deny it... but it's statistically unlikely that you will meet someone at this board with influence on Trump's campaign. Even more unlikely that this person will take the opinion of the few on this board as a measurement of who will be the next big democratic candidate.

If you think it could be used against the next most promising candidate, then because you think that people/or programs collect this information (who is the next big thing) on several boards, to get a valid number of opinions.

And this is something no one would have thought about, as internet got installed for the wider public.
It's a result of intelligence work, but also of every company that collects and creates deep data.

We need to control this part of the economy, just like we have rules for every other part.... but it's getting off topic.

Nothing is beyond suspicion any more. Look at some of the 'conservative' posters in this forum. Some join and instantly run here and only post in this forum. Others joined a decade ago, had no posts, and now post numerous times each day and only in the politics forum.
Once upon a time no one would have thought they would join Facebook in order to manipulate the political scene.

You post elsewhere also. You don't concentrate solely on one forum. You also post factual information and don't repeat talking points. You don't go thread to thread repeating the same tired points ad nauseam. 10,000+ posts as opposed to less than 100 (all of which are in this forum).
