I'm an early riser, and would get up early on the weekends to get things done. my wife slept a little later and would send one of my sons out to tell me "mom needs you". it was her way of telling me she wanted me to make love to her. later in the afternoon, "dad, mom needs you again."

sometimes, she would leave me a love note to read before going to work in the morning.

one winter she knitted me a " peter heater" complete with a pocket for my balls, and I actually used it!. she would page me at work, I would call home. she wanted to know if I was gettting off on time, and would be home on time. nothing like being cold, and frozen. coming home to hot, naked woman in your bed, make love for a couple hours, and then have her get up and fix you supper.

If it's you and Atilla, then yes (wink)

Good thing I didn`t read that yesterday before calling it a night lol, otherwise I doubt I would have gotten any shut eye at the thought of having the beautiful and ravishing MsSeaside and MsDragon all to myself in one big flesh pile whilst engaging in the most deliciously decadent activitys we can think of, oh yes...

See, now THAT is what I call an epic romantic gesture!!

And now that I think about it, we`re gonna need more neckties...

:biggrin1:

On a more serious note, Seaside got it right when she said stick to something practical, its the safest bet as far as making sure you don`t buy something that is of no use to your partner.

My experience has shown that men will appreciate a gift that they can make use of, whereas gifts that are meant as a display of affection only won`t register as much, or at least not to the extent it would for women. Reason being that women generally speaking will look at the act of buying the gift itself as being worth more than the gift, as it shows their partners attention and affection for them by buying such trinkets and whatnot.

Whereas men usually will not look at it the same way and this sadly oftentimes results in some unecessary drama, the less said about that the better. So, in sum buy something practical, or food is always good too, and if you really wanna make it romantic when it comes to food then have him eat something off of your body, and then of course you can let him have his dessert if you catch my drift :biggrin1:

I like it when my wife wakes up early to make coffee.

I like it when she packs my lunch for me.

I like it when she buys some a particular food that I'm fond of, whatever it may be.

I like it when she puts gas in the car for me.

I like it when she cuts flowers from the garden for my office.

They're not terribly romantic, but I like them.

Maybe not terribly romantic to some, but to others like us..it means more than any gift can
I love finding little "love/sex" notes in hidden places.
I'm more of a "do something special for me", rather than a "get me something" type of guy

I think it's gone past neck ties and moved onto cuffs and stout lengths of rope.

When I've given males gifts who weren't just a friend/relative, it almost always pertains to their interests somehow. An ex who had a motorcycle, I bought nice gloves for when he rode... I've always had a fairly easy time of it however, because most of them have been nerds... and there is a lot of random nerdy stuff out there that is awesome.

Or I'll cook for them :biggrin1: It does seem that whole "A way to a man's heart is through his stomach" phrase does hold somewhat true.

You realize you can multi-quote so you don't have to make multiple posts in a row in the same thread one after the other, to reply to multiple posts that others have written, yes?

well to be fair you've never seen me

To be fair, she doesn't have to see you to know that. Attraction is more than visual.

Edit: I should probably comment on the topic too. I think I would enjoy just about any romantic gesture a woman would give, whether it be swiss army knives, or flowers. Personally I think I would enjoy the flowers more because flowers aren't practical like the knife. So to me that says that she got them just because she was thinking of me.

I can't say for sure though, I don't ever receive romantic gifts.

Then there is ALWAYS food. If you cook for a guy I think it's impossible to go wrong (unless youre a terrible cook)

I'd go with this strategy. I cook all the time so I really appreciate this and as the world's most incompetent person with an iron, anyone who is cool enough not to be phased by helping out where it is really appreciated, can name their price (so long as it involves oral).

I have a draw of unwanted ties.
