They did try to expand his storyline by showing his relationship with his parents, but yeah I really hope he gets more screen time and a better storyline next season. Part of the problem is that there are so many characters on the show and since he's the only cop, there's only so much they can do with him.

I think his role would have been bigger if Liv had returned for season two. He had a lot of scenes with her.

I agree with most of you about Rafael’s role. My guess is that policemen are seen kinda problematic nowadays so they’ve mostly shut down that role for him and focused on him as a boyfriend.

also, regarding the People Magazine interview, my guess is that there weren’t that many out bisexuals and that’s why the focus is on Ronen, cause they profiled many gays/lesbians/trans but not that many Bi people.

I wish they'd asked Rafael a little about his own experiences rather than just the romantic pairing on the show, since he is a gay man of color and has been advocating for the community strongly since last year. Of course I also wish that the other member of Ronen's found family weren't dressing him in ill-fitting pastel suits like a refugee from Miami Vice...

I haven’t noticed until today it was really weird in the pool like he was trying to hint their fucking around but It was like raf was tired of him filming him the whole thing was weird and a bit thirsty for attention to me lol

I think Rafael may be more guarded about any signs of impropriety when teasing the fans, whereas Ronen is caught up in all the attention the pairing on the show gets. If he is married, the hubby may not be fond of having that line blurred.

Man of color or person of color refers to anyone who isn't white, basically. Black, Asian, Latinx, etc
