I hate bright unnatural light when i am having sex with my boyfriend. Candles are nice, letting a little bit of the light from the window come in is okay too but stadium style fluorescent lighting turns me all the way off. It feels like it's being staged or something. One thing that i noticed on this thread was that older guys tend to enjoy having lights on as opposed to younger guys who like the darkness. My boyfriend/manfriend is 22 years older than i am and i'm 18 so maybe it makes sense that i prefer the dark.

I like REALLY bright light when having sex... as in warm Florida sunlight! Like the warm sun on my body, wind blowing over my skin, the sound of surf nearby... just like what I had this afternoon out in the sun on the beach... it felt great... I also need really bright light to take all the naked pics you see here. I like it dark sometimes too, then it is all about touch and sound. Light coming from the foot of the bed isn't so great, not very flattering usually. Light coming out of my partner is always interesting.

Lights on, especially if its the first time with a guy. I want to see and feel everything. But not like 150 watt GE lights. Just normal room light. If it can be bright, if it's natural midday light from the sun, then all the better.

Like other aspects of sex, variety is a good thing.
Sometimes dim, sometimes bright. It's all good.
Soft lighting, firelight, candles etc. create a very sensual mood.
Daylight is great for exploring, learning all the intricacies of your partner's body.

The joys one can experience with some candles, the glow from the moon and a fireplace is something everyone should experience at least once.

As a guy who gets INCREDIBLY horny from looking into the beautiful blue (or brown, if I have to:tongue: ) eyes of the person you are dating, I think it would be a crime to have sex in the dark.

I mean, your aim is off and you can't really react to your partners joy or discomfort. If they think my dick feels good, I want to SEE their reaction, as well as hear and feel it.

If the sex is good my eyes will be rolled back in my head anyway. What light?

I really don't have a preference, though I must confess outdoors with the sun warming your back is an incredible feeling.

When I was younger, I wouldn't have sex with the lights on. I would have sex during the daytime in a darkened room but that's about it.

Now, I prefer to have soft lighting. When I was younger, I was uncomfortable about having sex. I knew that I made faces and kept my eyes closed most of the time during sex.

Now that I'm more sexually experienced, I find it is definately a turn on to see the facial expressions of my lover. We both make faces so what the hell.

Yes, I still clench my teeth, my eyes automatically squeeze shut when I reach a certain pleasure point, and there's the part where my eyes roll back into my head :)rolleyes: ). I've just become more comfortable with what's going on with my body during sex.

Hugs and Kisses,

Karmen

Now there's somebody who gets it.

If possible: I prefer natural light. Ideally, there will be a window letting in sun or moonlight. Simply adjust the window covering to suit your mood. After my eyes have adjusted, I usually like there to be sufficient light to see my lover's outstretched arms, her change in facial expressions, my cock entering her -- all those things. When it's time to take a break: it should be light enough to unfasten hand restraints and soft enough to fall asleep in each other's arms.

I have several sconces on my bedroom walls. They emit a soft, warm glow and I have several other scented candles placed strategically (sandalwood vanilla) around the area. I also like to open the curtain and let the moonlight shine into my bedroom.

I like soft lightning too, but I don't like scented candles. I've tried some of them, most give me a stinging, burning feeling in my nose and throat. However, I've recently installed a lighting system in my room that is only 4 spots in the corners, their cones shine a soft light all over the room.

Dim light is good but I like to have at least some light. Personally I think the hottest thing about sex is watching and listening to her reactions, so I like to be able to see the woman's face.

A nice little glow from the computer monitor makes for a homey touch.

Don't tell me you keep your computer in your bedroom. I don't like that. I hate it. It's an absolute no-go! Don't start with fireplace screensavers and similar things, I will never tolerate a computer in my or my partner's bedroom. After all, what is a den for?
