Years ago when I would regularly CHAT on LPSG there was a thread for Ru Paul's DRAG RACE .
I went looking for it to chat about the current Season, but my search was in vain.
If you would allow me, I would like to start a new thread devoted to the cultural phenomenon, DRAG RACE .


I am enjoying the Season so far, but one contestant that is LIVING up to their name, is ONYA NERVE. I was iffy on her before, but when she became a thief, then I was done with her. I was rather upset about the elimination last week, I think RU made the wrong choice, but I was also happy about the results of this week.
I purposely left out spoilers in my post, but I am happy to give spoilers or read spoilers, but please give a heads up for those that are not up to date, on the show.

I do think we underestimated the juicy Ms. Plane Jane.
Such a talented persona and branding from Mr Dunayevskiy.
I love the get-up, celebrate the insult humour and admire him for having the intelligence to deliver such a convincing act.
It show real development in drag as well as a satisfying and properly birthed character.
In spite of obvious problems of Russians in the current "Great" American context.

My Top 2 are Onya Nerve And Jewel Sparkles.

Suzie Toots i still like but shes fallen big time (shes kinda getting a Q edit for me)
Sam Starr is getting better, they make me laugh alot.
Lexi Love is another one who has fallen some, just not impressing me so much lately.
Kori King is giving nothing but funny commentary
Lana - Meh
Arrietty - Is almost getting a redemption edit from being just a look queen. But needs more still.
Acasia Forgot - Not bad but isnt giving any life in challenges
Lydia Butthole collins - another meh. Some "interesting" looks but boring in anything else

They are my 2 front runners and ill be happy with either winning... But Onya is my favorite.
Suzie i think should have stayed over Sam but it makes sense i guess with Sam going into the finale based on the 2nd half of the season.

Yes. I agree with you. I picked out these 4 from the first few episodes though. Off the meet the queens i assumed Onya and Toot would not make it far. I was extremely wrong.

I was NOT a fan of ONYA after she ruined the garment of LEXI LOVE and then she stole something from another Queen . But it was clear when she should have been ELMINATED in that LFYL with JEWELS that she was the favorite of RuPaul . Jewels owned her in the LFYL but still BOTH stayed.
RU doesn't often play favorites but when she does it's rather apparent.
I think RU took into account just how much ONYA needed the win, but RPDR is not meant to be a Charity .
She also should not have won that one time against SAM STAR in the challenge. Another thing about ONYA when she performed she only had one speed. If you have seen her once , you have seen her 100 times .

My Faves were Suzi , Jewels & Lana . All for very different reasons.
I loathed Suzi in the SG , that was a dreadful impersonation of Audrey and I hope everyone that knows her will be honest when telling her.

I was thrilled to see SUZI destroy the competition in SheDoneAlreadyDoneHadHerses Comp. I was completely Suzi before that but I had never seen versatility until then. Boy did she prove everyone wrong , showing us what a ginger vixen she can be . I did not think she had it in her, but now she knows she does . A hope that gave her a new confidence.


RU gave us my favorite Ep of all times though and YES I have seen every episode, when she had the Family members come there and put them in drag .
I was overwhelmed by the unconditional love & support for them .
I do hope that RU makes that a Constant Final 5 Challenge.

I’m SO in agreement with your breakdown of Onya’s performances. I thought it shoulda been Jules to win the show, but maybe she’ll be redeemed in a future All Stars.
