I've just been watching A Midsummer Night's Dream. There's some pretty good-looking guys in it. Anyone know anything about Rupert Everett? Or any of the others stars in the movie? Dominic West? Christian Bale?

"Do you know anything about...[insert name]?" ...

is a widely-used euphemism (goodness knows why) in this forum for...

"Do you have pictures of [insert name's] cock, or any other anecdotal information about it...?".

Trust me on this point.

Dominic West has never shown more on screen that he does in A Midsummer Night's Dream (1999), to my knowledge at least: 1

However, Christian Bale's cock can be seen both in --->

    Metroland (1997): 1

...and far more clearly in American Psycho (2000; European and uncut widescreen DVD versions only): 1, 2

I didn't realize Rupert Everett is cut! Wonder if it was done when he was born like me or later?

My favorite Rupert Everett movie was Giuliano Montaldo's Les lunettes d'or, with the late estimable Philippe Noiret.
There's a full-monty shower shot with Everett looking fab.
The movie is two decades old, and I haven't been able to find it in any video store.
Can anyone find a screen cap or two? You know the drill ... caps of the drill.
    (I have only small hope.)

A great source for info is The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) -- the Internet Movie Database. You''ll see Everett has been a busy man in the movies....

Once again, see post #5 for the actual meaning of "does anyone know anything...?" in this and other nude celebrity forums.

In which regard, CNdb: Celebrity Nudity Database - celebrity nude scene listings is generally a more useful source for the kind of information that people making requests here really want.

To date, the film has only materialized on DVD in Italy (with Italian soundtrack and an "Italian subtitles" additional language option only)..

    ---> BOL | Video | Montaldo, Gli Occhiali d'Oro (DVD), Medusa - 2004

The old French video release (French soundtrack only; requires you to be able to play PAL/SECAM-standard videos) occasionally turns up for sale, or can be rented in North America from..

    ---> Francevision

The rights are owned by Twentieth Century Fox, who are generally not too bad at exploring their back catalog for potential DVD releases in North America.. so cross your fingers and hope.

I know of no caps from this movie, and am just attaching three promotional stills from it below, in which Mr. Everett at least appears suitably pretty:

    Oh, Alex, you're the best.
Cole Porter would have seen you well.
And I can take his words, much though the final line gives me a (delicious) mix of apprehension and hope.

    You're the top!
    You're the Coliseum.
    You're the top!
    You're the Louver Museum.
You're a melody from a symphony by Strauss
    You're a Bendel bonnet,
    A Shakespeare's sonnet,
    You're Mickey Mouse.
    You're the Nile,
    You're the Tower of Pisa,
You're the smile on the Mona Lisa
    I'm a worthless check, a total wreck, a flop,
But if, Alex, I'm the bottom you're the top!

Porter's timeless rhymes are ummatched... Everett's witty mind can be wittnessed in his recent autobiography, "Red Carpets and Other Banana Skins"; loads of fun:)

I remember reading in an interview that at one time he supported himself working as an escort:)

Thanks for all the information about Rupert Everett, and especially the photos that Alex found (what a database he must have!).

He is about the only film star I have seen up close and pretty much undressed. It was at the shoot for the film Tolérance, in Normandy and I was involved with the logistics of it, and so saw Everett several times being made up for his role as a hermit who lives in the garden of the château and generally during the shoot. This involved having him made up more or less over his whole body, as he wore rags and a loose sort of pants. The makeup woman did complement him for having little body hair, which made things easier for her.

He had been interviewed in the newspaper just before and had been pretty negative about his own physique, saying he felt like a giraffe because he was so tall and thin. I must admit when I saw him I thought he had a very agreeable physique, not exaggeratedly tall or thin at all – certainly less so than myself. I had hoped we may strike up a conversation but he was very much on his guard all the time and not talkative at all.

Unfortunately I can’t remember whether it looked as if there was a lot in the baggy pants or not, but I did notice that for a fairly tall man he had average sized hands and feet. Still, as is often pointed out on LPSG, these things are rarely in proportion.
