Oh, I dunno.
Looking that good at 46 is pretty good, I think.
But there's no doubt the kid was, in his early years, extraordinarily good looking.

He's had a lot of trouble.
Fourteen years ago, he attempted suicide by jumping out of a third-floor window.
He's been heavily into drugs and alcohol, and I don't suppose the porn-star life gives many of its participants, even those as successful as Ryan Idol was, all that much self-esteem.

Don't know where you got that one...but if you think the environment of a jail or prison is so comfy, you've clearly never seen one! US Sentencing is insane. Just look at the Norwegian mass murderer, who officially got 17 years....in reality, it will be life. But the US CREATES career criminals by establishing overly harsh sentences all the time (simple possession, anyone??). Even in cases equivalent to manslaughter, in much of the Western world, one serves some time and can still have a legitimate chance to restart a life. Here, once you've been in doing hard time that long, you are going to be stuck on that treadmill forever. And it is bankrupting the U.S.

Ryan Idol, a big name in gay porn during the 1990's was sentenced on September 26th to serve 12 years in prison for the attempted murder of his girl friend.
She apparently found him with his male lover. They fought and he struck her over the head with a toilet tank lid. Well, doesn't that just say it all.

Ryan Idol, unfortunately, was a mess for years. I mean, look at how many gay porn stars are dead or better yet mentally disturbed to the point on a killing rampage(remember the Canadian porn star that murdered his lover and killed all those cats)? What is even disturbing is that they are at a point when the studios would not want them anymore. I mean, there are exceptions to the rule like Jeff Stryker and Peter North, but this is still a serious problem among stars who were bankable then, but were no longer bankable now. Really sad and disturbing.

I kinda wish I didn't click on that link. I thought he was ridiculously hot when he was younger, and he sent my percentages all askew. He starred in some of the first gay porn I ever saw, and he turned me on in ways that most other gay porn did not.

A shame, all around. Too bad that someone who once was so beautiful has had such troubles (and glad the ex-fiance survived).
