I agree with you, unfortunately, there is an inordinate number of the followers of Islam that kill in the name of their belief. Not so much with Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, etc.
Shall we make a list of serial killers and mass murderers that called themselves Christians?

I'm waiting for you to excuse that pastor who said the shooting was a good thing because there are 50 less "pedophiles' in the world.

Obama wants males who "self-identify" as females to have access to all facilities. That means any guy can claim to "identify" as female and walk into the women's showers.

A) Guys don't do that. B) If they actually started to in any significant numbers, provisions can be made to weed out the posers.

Granted, things may no longer be quite as simple as they seemed in the past, but that was only because a portion of the population had to live in shame and fear.

That pastor is an asshole. Nobody should support that jerk.

There are many bad people who have called themselves Christians. However, there is not a worldwide movement of Christians around the world waging war on "non-believers".

None of which justifies oppressive laws that deny true transgendered people the right to basic human dignity in public facilities. You can't revoke civil rights just because they make life a little less simplistic.

You qualified your statement with "true transgendered people". I agree with you. That's all I'm saying. And let's be real, 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999% of establishments had no problem with transgenders using the lady's room. Nobody had an issue. It wasn't an issue. It wasn't even on the radar until the left decided to change the litmus from being a (as you put it) "true transgender" to any male that "self-identifies" as female. Not surprisingly, many objected and they have been largely labeled as bigots. Michelle Obama won't be forced to shower with some dude leering at her but my daughter might.

You may be correct. You too may have an issue with hatred...your own. Let it go.
You've posted a lot of dumb shit over the past week or so but this is the top.

Let it go? Just turn a blind eye to all the injustices?
Being clueless and brain dead may work for you but for those of us with actual lives it won't do.

Bye Felicia!

You're getting the chronology all wrong. Nobody had an issue--until conservative state legislatures started enacting oppressive statutes. Only *then* did the Obama administration counter with a directive protecting the basic rights of transgendered people.

It was your side that needlessly stirred up shit, mostly as a cynical political ploy in response to recent LGBT advances.

Because some local jurisdiction enacted something bigoted we have to throw out the baby with the bath water? It was an unnecessary overreaction. I'm all for transgender people. I'm not for dudes having a license to share the shower with my daughter.

Local jurisdiction, as in entire states?

When local or state legislatures enact laws denying basic civil rights, it's the responsibility of the federal government to intervene. That's not an overreaction; that's the Constitution.

It's easy to prevent the unlikely, alarmist scenario you describe--but not by formally reducing transgendered people to second-class citizens.

What was the specific ordinance that started it all?

While I agree that transgender people should be able to use the facility of their choice, saying that they're being treated as "second class" citizens is just hyperbole.

You're saying there isn't an inordinate number of Muslims killing in the name of Islam? If that's your belief then I will respectfully submit that you haven't been paying attention.

No - what I am saying is that Christians with the sanction of the Church and states have dome similar things in the past. Religion - all religion has its problems with zealots. The proportion of Muslims in the U.S. who are supportive of that type of action is very small. Likewise the Christians who actually kill in the name of their religion is small. It was a Christian lt. governor who tweeted bible verses after Orlando claiming men reap what they sow - seemingly blaming the victims.

You are continuing to lie and distort to save face - you have nothing left to save.

Only you and Mike Huckabee seem to think that is going to happen.

The most recent law was HB 2 in NC which also banned a city from banning discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. In Maryland republican nut jobs tried to pass a similar law and were laughed out of town. It's the latest wedge issue conservatives, like yourself are using to keep voters angry. They lost on gay marriage, they lost on religious freedom to discriminate when they sell pizza, they see the future and are trying to cling to power. That is what it is all about.
