I didn't lose anyone this year, but my mother just had a stroke two months ago. It was a very scary and stressful end of the year for me. It was certainly a big wake up call if anything. Live each day like it's your last never know what is waiting for you around the corner.
I am sorry to hear that. Treasure every moment with her. Tell her you love her a thousand times. i will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

For everyone who's lost someone this last year - my heart goes out to you. I've lost both my parents, and all I can say is that at least I never have to go through it again.

Last year was a rough year for me as well, but at least we have all made it through. And what Mr. Snakey says holds true for all our loved ones - never miss an opportunity to tell them that we love them and to hug them. Really live and enjoy each moment.

Bugga, I like that song. Ya can tell he be twisted, fuckin turtlenecks :). Sings the whole song with a straight face.

Cept for the slight eybrow rise,
a crease just between them,
the circles of the eyes,

Not the circles underneath them,
but the ones upon his mind. :)

Now that we seem to have hijacked the OP's thread, thanks very much to everyone who offered their condolences on my sad news. Likewise, mine goes out to the others who have shared their sad news. You just never know what's down the road.

This. I lost my dad three weeks ago to a very fast moving cancer so talk to me about real "sad years." Not getting laid is the least of my concerns at the moment. :frown1:

So sorry to hear about your dad. (((hugs))) Losing a parent is so freaking hard. Yeah, not getting laid isn't even in the same universe of pain.
