Same Sex Winks - How to handle?

I agree with Pye, a wink can be so many things ........... to automatically assume it is sexual harassment seems a bit of a stretch to me, but that is just me.

There are so many things in the world worthy of worry and deep thought, a simple wink is something I just nod, smile, wink back, or ignore and probably never think about again.

Oddly enough I never had anyone "wink" at me before. In my neck of the woods flirtation is alot more up front and "in yo face".

Try saying you are doing employee reviews (if you are in management) and see how many more winks you get&#33; I&#39;m sure the winks are harmless...but then again, being gay, I wouldn&#39;t mind them

A very "butch," most likely very heterosexual (but then you can never be too sure), security guard winked at me a few months ago -- at a professional wrestling match, no less&#33;

What happened was, I walked in and saw what was going on (this is like the professional wrestling you see on TV), and I just stood there and started to laugh. I caught myself, and then looked around to make sure no one saw me laughing (didn&#39;t want to offend anyone), and the security guy caught my glance and winked at me. Not "sexual" at all. Just a sort of "I get why you&#39;re laughing."

Look Stone winking is a common thing here in America from both men and women to both men and women, so get over it!! Look i am gay and my straight buddies wink at me all the time at work, it's thier way of saying " hey man" or "What's up" i know there not gay and i know that the women that wink at me, are not trying to "hook up" with me either. It's just a friendly gesture. Now if there is a a certain look or gleam in their eyes them maby yes there is more to it. But since you say both married and non married are winking, THEN IT IS SIMPLY A SALUTE!!!!. Christ man learn American culture!!!
