Today's New York Times (Dec. 7th) had an Op Ed piece about Sarah's potential for wringing out about U$S7 million for an upcoming book deal. The problem is, if you heard her discuss issues beyond just the usual sound bite, she has difficulty talking in complete, short sentences and actually making a point.

It will be interesting to see if her "writing style" is en par with her speaking style...

Katie Couric: "What other Supreme Court decisions do you disagree with?"
Sarah Palin: "Well, let's see. There's --of course --in the great history of America rulings there have been rulings, there's never going to be absolute consensus by every American. And there are -- those issues, again, like Roe v Wade where I believe are best held on a state level and addressed there. So you know -- going through the history of America, there would be others but--"
Couric: "Can you think of any?"
Palin: "Well, I could think of -- of any again, that could be best dealt with on a more local level. Maybe I would take issue with. But you know, as mayor, and then as governor and even as a Vice President, if I'm so privileged to serve, wouldn't be in a position of changing those things but in supporting the law of the land as it reads today."

I really don't understand why more of the liberals and Dems don't like Sara Palin; in her cockamamie way she is doing just what the Dems want... sure she says "Drill baby Drill" but since she has taken The Office of Governor she halted oil exploration, taxed the oil industry to the highest industry in the WORLD hasn't adressed certain abortion issues with teens in Alaska and IMHO inaction means she doesn't care either way. She given money away.:ie:Added to our permanent fund which was proably a one time deal I might add, also helped her popularity here. Just to name a few.

Admit it, without Sarah Palin things are so boring and normal in the lower forty-eight. Whatever else one can say about this woman, she provides more entertainment pound for pound than just about any other recent politician. From her vacuous clueless mind to her hubris personality wrapped in a fashionable pair of glasses, she got us through this long election process.

As actor John Cleese said, "she's a marvelous parrot." Translation: Sarah Palin can't discern whether she's reading the Emancipation Proclamation or an ad for Teletubbies off the teleprompter. From now until the next election cycle, we can all go to YouTube and watch her thanking her campaign staff- and all the little people- while Elmer Fudd is slaughtering turkeys in the background. Oh yes, we'll have Sarah Palin to kick around for a long time (to borrow a famous quote from Richard Nixon.) And yet, four years is a lifetime in politics.

If throat nodule surgery goes awry for TV tart Rachel Ray, Sarah Palin could always do a cooking show. The cream-puff interview with Greta van Susteren showed she can cook up a storm in a way-cool kitchen!

She's a Republican. For the most part, Dems are just as close-minded and dogmatic as they claim their Red counterparts are. It's why they can never hold onto power.

You are aware, I hope, that the average slut...er, star or starlet, doesn't actually pen their own tome. They have well paid schmucks like me to do that and it is the ghost's job to check facts, research and assemble a bunch of nonsense which will sound amazingly brilliant-even coming from Palin. Do these celebs admit that they had great assistance in writing their book? Not very often.

People will purchase the book because people are curious and it will probably do better than Hillary Clinton's It Takes A Village book. People will run and get this book; in part because they want to have more things to use as fuel for ridicule of Palin. Where a speech or interviews can make a person look foolish, when it comes to an assembled volume of work, the same person can seem to be a member of Mensa, thanks to the miracles of fact checkers and editors.

Sarah Palin is viewed negatively by lock and step Democrats who hate her. She connects very well with most NORMAL American people with families.

Oh, and she never said she could see Russia from her house, TINA FUCKING FEY said that IMITATING her.

And should we overlook Obama's stupid statements that the media covers up and you people overlook because you are so busy worshipping him? I love how he thought that there are 57 states... or how he thought that Minneapolis was a state? Precious. Of course, you never hear anything about that because the media is busier trying to slander any conservative or Republican that is viewed as a threat.

Of course I am going to be in the minority around here, and of course around here everyone hates Sarah Palin because she represents morals, values, a respect for human life, and limited government with more freedom for the individual. She doesn't back huge bailouts, she doesn't support spending tax payer money like there's no tomorrow during a recession. Obama does, and that's why everything is going to be a whole hell of alot worse in 2012. Around here, it's so hedonistic and sex obsessed, though, that no one is really paying attention to the real issues that got us in this situation to begin with. Hey, little secret, IT WASN'T ALL BUSH. IT WAS ALL PARTIES, Democrats and Republicans (especially the dems in control of house and senate the last 2 years and Bush together) spending out of control and blocking us from becoming energy independent. im surprised everyone around here isn't an Obamaton.

But hey, Democrats don't vote based on the issues, they vote based on emotion. If you smoke pot, you HAVE to vote Democrat (even though Obama doesn't support legalization, morons). If you don't believe in god, well golly, HAS to be Dem. If you live your life with a lack of morals and fuck around like a rabbit, of course DEMOCRAT. It's not a political party, it's a club. Club Democrat. But guess what? THey are virtually wrong on every domestic and nation defense issue, and that will become painfully clear in the next two years when they try to solve any problem in this country by expanding government or printing more money and getting our country and future generations further and further in debt.

I am not religious. I am not Republican. I don't like Bush (mostly because he has spent our country into oblivion the last 8 years). I have a huge penis and use it. I am an actor. Shit, I should be Democrat to the core... but I try to live a moral life and I vote BASED ON THE ISSUES, not based on whatever reasons anyone votes Democrat. Democrats. Ick.

Point is, keep underestimating her, and we'll see who kicks who's ass in 2012. McCain was lame and not a true conservative that believes in limiting government to create prosperity, and of course he lost; but Palin is a good speaker, a good communicator, attractive, and solid on the issues. That's why her approval rating is higher then any other governer in America, that's why they love her in Alaska, that's why she's going to blow Obama out of the water. Anytime she did stumble, it was during professorial interviews by the mainstream media that sounded more like tests and less like the fluffy bullshit interviews they gave Obama that asked him NOTHING of importance during the election season. They were trying to sabotage her and MAKE her look stupid and all you people eat it up. Of course under pressure any politician may misspeak, but she's never said downright stupid ignorant things like Obama has.

Let's list more of Obama's greatest hits...
and by "greatest hits", i mean stupidisms that Bush or Palin would be endlessly ridiculed for saying... but Obama, as usual, gets a free pass:

-"57 states" and yes, the clip is on youtube, look it up
* "Bush doesn't care about China because it's full of black people."
* "Countries in the Middle East don't like the Jews since they took for themselves the largest country."
* "I'm running for mayor of the U.S.!"
"Well of course I'm concerned about foreign policy. I think it should be American made."

And somehow he's smarter and more qualified as a leader then Palin, even though he has never governed anything and says stupid stuff like that? Come on people, stop being hypocrits.

I guess you might as well count most Americans as abnormal now.
Mrs. Palin's negative rating is the highest for a vice-presidential candidate as measured by The Times and CBS News.

Among the more notable findings in today's New York Times/CBS News poll59% of voters say Gov. Sarah Palin is not qualified for the job of Vice-President. On October 8, it was 50%.

NYT/CBS Poll: 59% Say Palin Unqualified, Hurting John McCain

I started writing something in response to Gigantikok's rhetoric, but after typing 10 words I started to realize that it was a complete waste of time. It doesn't matter how every single line he's generated can be counterattacked with similar lines of garbage to point out every single flaw, misconception and distortion to make Palin, Bush or ANYONE in the current GOP look as evil and nasty as he's tried to portray all Democrats in one post. But what would be the point?

All I have to say for now... "Have a grand ol' time in 'Real America', Gigantikok. Us heathens in 'Fake America' don't need you."

Democrats are mean and nasty because they steal people's hard earned money, and waste it on mismanaged programs. The government is soooo good at running the post office (that is ALWAYS misdelivering my mail) and the DMV, and hey, how about the two government programs that are eating up the budget aside from all the bail outs and bloat proposed by the Democrats in control of house and senate? Social security and Medicare, both ineffective, both well on their way to being bankrupt. So hey, logically we should just make them MORe powerful then and send them MORE money to waste... sense the sarcasm, right?

I don't have rhetoric, people, I don't represent the GOP. The GOP lost me along time ago when they stopped believe in reducing government spending and stop representing any solid principles. When they become Democrat Lite, so to speak, spenders on a smaller scale, I knew no party was representing me. So from me comes no rhetoric, only common sense. I support Palin because during her debate, and during the election season, she was pretty much the only person talking about cutting spending, and drilling as a way to boost the economy by creating jobs and putting checks in people's pockets from revenue generated from drilling. Yes, in Alaska they do drill, and in Alaska everyone gets a check in the mail not because of loopy socialism, but because of the money generated from drilling on the people's land. ALl Obama and the democrats want to do is spend like there is no deficit (Obama stated in an interview he doesn't care about the deficit), spit all over the Constitution (Obama said he disagrees with the Constitution as a document of "negative rights"...wtf??), and print and spend reducing our money into monopoly currency.......

...and none of you people seem to care because you are so married to the idea of being open minded, "cool" Democrat types.

Sorry, but politics aren't about being involved in clubs or cults of personality, that is dangerous and it can destroy everything that was have achieved as a nation thus far. I doubt many of you have been overseas, but I have, and if you see the shit condition most other countries are in BECAUSE of a government entity controlling the economy and flow of money (kind of what our government is moving towards)... then you would know how truly lucky you are as Americans.

SHame you are going to squander your liberties and give up your rights by continuing to vote mindlessly for Democrats.

So actually, Vinylboy, I shouldnt be bothering because Ill never change YOUR rhetoric, in which you are constantly trying to glorify the Democrat party and overlook their faults. This isn't a partisan issue, it's a bigger issue. It's about preserving our way of life, and not destroying our economy and country in the process of voting for charismatic demogogs that pander to minorities, buys votes, and offers no real solutions except for tired government-centric policies rehased from the age of FDR and Carter. FDR only prolonger the Great Depression by keeping taxes high and wasting the money on social programs and government created jobs, thus taking more money out of people's pockets, instead of keeping taxes low and allow businesses to flourish and CREATE new, better paying jobs for all Americans. I don't even have to get into the Carter years with massive inflation and recession.

So get over your class envy, and grow up, and realize that we need that top 1% here in this country to create better paying jobs for all. Not tax the sweet living hell out of them, force them to have to lay people off, and create more people working for Govt and thus taking more money from other people who create privitized jobs.

Notice you call it San Fransicko, lol. There's only one man I know of that refers to it that way... do you happen to listen to Michael Savage?:-D

MSNBC is already erecting a 6-story shrine to Barry's silver tongue in Chicago. Its built-to-scale and has busts of Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews and Bill Maher holding hands and dancing in the middle of Barry's tongue. Underneath the giant tongue, sprawling some 6 city blocks, will be ACORN's new national headquarters.

I'm not here to glorify the Democratic Party. I'm here to support the person I voted for President. You're a newbie on this board, so you may not have received the memo that I did vote a Republican Governor back when I lived in Massachusetts. So your ideal of me being a "blind Democrat" has not only been shattered to bits, but it has no standing. I just know who has a better stance on the issues that concern me. And I choose accordingly.

With that said... how do you think you can teach anyone here about my so-called political faults when your own statements are full of the same, exact rhetoric that both extremes spew at each other? That's like trying to put out a fire with kerosene. Or having a street hooker teach your child how to be abstinent. And considering that you don't want to pander to minorities, I'm certain there's nothing a liberal-minded gay, black man could ever tell you since you probably think my existence is all based on governmental handouts. So really, what do you think you can teach me? How uninformed, disconnected and misguided you are? How you've been conned to support unprovable, slanderous claims made by politicians who put on a fake facade portraying an "average Joe" to win the support of people who don't think for themselves? How in 21 posts you've already become as "popular" as 1BiGG1 & starinvestor? Either way, it all looks bad.

One thing I will agree with. I am mean, but only to the right people. And I'm also nasty... also to the right people.

One has to wonder if we are talking about one person or not. They all seem to have the same similarities, a stop or two in another forum then get down to the real business of bringing Rush, Hannity and Fox News to LPSG. And never ever any pictures not even stolen pictures.

Isn't that a sad state of affairs for the Repubs! At least it gives her time to take some college classes on they way the world and governments operate. But honestly I don't know if she has enough time--she's starting from about ZERO.

I think that is great news!
that means we will have four more years of democratic rule.

Sarah Palin, the gift(to the dems) that KEEPS on giving!...you betcha!

I share your optimism and HOPE and PRAY that she will be the chosen one for the Grand Oil Party , BUT , I kinda think they would not be so stupid as to choose her, but I never thought MA would be so myopic as to elect a homophobic teabagging fascist either..... SO NEVER SAY NEVER !!! It would be great to see a map of nothing but peaceful calm BLUE !

Call me crazy, but to me this is bad news. I'd like as many good candidates as possible so it isn't just picking the lesser of two evils every time. By no means do I consider someone a better presidential candidate because they are a democrat or republican.
