Well, he is.
LOL not exactly but you are partly right in the fact that Satan was created by Christians when they made the Greek God Pan into something evil and called him Satan.
Just one of the many lies the masses have been fed by the Christian church to maintain control.
That doesn't make him a bad person.
How ironic that Jesus wasn't.
There are no Christians in the Bible. No saints, either. Just a whole bunch of Jews and their enemies.
You're right. Other things make him bad.
Satan is the leader of the angels who tried to over throw God and was cast out of heaven. That is when hell was created. Satan is also known by many other names. Like Lucifer, the master of lies, the evil one, ect.
Jesus was not a Christian he was a Jew, he celebrated the Jewish holidays and for the most part lived by the Jewish law. He in every way was a Jew. The term Christian was not even invented until years after Jesus' death. The early Christians were actually Jews who followed Jesus' teachings until the Christian broke froom the Jewish tradidtion.
The first part is pure fantasy, based on symbological references made in the bible which have been turned into a literal translation in error.
The second part you are dead on.
It's a shame the name Lucifer has been shackled with the negative connotations of this charade, because the Latin meaning (Light Bearer) is quite beautiful. Luke and Lucas are pale knock-offs by comparison.
What a trend we have in Jesus!
Karl Marx smoked opium, and not always in an unpopular way.
Well, I hope at least this thread doesn't turn into a total waste of energy, with people spewing points of view that have no possibility of being understood by the "other side..."
However, Hickboy, I'm not really sure of the true definition and/or existence of satan, let alone whether, if he did exist, he would be a "christian" or not.
Would "he" even be a "he?"
If there's a god, I think maybe its a "she..."
Not sure though. As I interjected in the raging "God" thread, my official position is "Undecided." But it seemed they were too busy arguing to notice me... ***pouts***
The reason it's clever is that myth or not Satan believes J.C. is the son of God who was/did/will die for believers' sins, go to hell, and rise/rose on the 3rd day. And that believing that will redeem and save.
Please go back to the other thread.
I always get interested when people claim that "God" could be a woman.
If there is a divine being, a creator, why would it have a gender at all?
Bully. I wasn't messing up this thread. I was just saying what was clever about what he said. I PM'ed him about it already. I liked.
I have long thought our local moral majority preacher was the devil, I think of him as 'old scratch'.
I knew i loved you!!! Dogma is one of my favourite movies!!!
Oh, and, as Hickboy said, there are NO christians in the bible... so... why are we so sure that the bible is supposed to direct their lives?
