I always get interested when people claim that "God" could be a woman.

If there is a divine being, a creator, why would it have a gender at all?

Thank you. God is God, not male nor female. God has characteristics of both parental units. However, Jesus did refer to God as "Abba", a familial term like "Daddy". If we are each created in God's image, it would seem that God would both mother and father. I personally object to the feminization of God, when God is called "Mother" or "She", but being that it's generally been patriarchal societies who have been Christians and Jews, it's no wonder we developed a masculine identity and attached it to God.

I often refer to God as "Him" or "He", but I try to just call God "God". God isn't an old White man sitting on a throne with flowing white hair and a beard, wearing luxurious robes. God can't be described in earthly terms and as mortals, we can't fully understand God.

By and by, we'll understand when we bow before God's holy presence in heaven...but until then, God is God, and we ought to fear and reverence our Creator.

He's more a Jew than a Christian. Christians believe Christ died for their sins. Jews believe in God/YHWH/Jehovah.

A Rabbi once told me that in the Jewish religion, satan (pronounced sa-tahn) is a word that means nothing more than problem.

The Christians took that and evolved it into what we now know as Satan.
