Jake's wardrobe is flamboyant and often very fashion forward. Ok, ok, not here in the U.S. of snobby morality, but elsewhere in the world. I think he often views his onstage costume as filthy/gorgeous, and to be sure his public attire is meant to be quirky. Jason Sellards was a stripper, so I hardly think he has many qualms about showing his goodies. Further I don't believe he cares who rates his equipment as adequate or not. Once you've dropped all your clothing onstage, a lot of inhibitions and mental baggage fall away as well.
To Jake (Jason) I expect wardrobe malfunctions are probably happy accidents and all artists appreciate those.
