Well, I read in aninterview with Kate Beckinsdale that during their sex scene he actually had to tape his flaccid cock to his leg to keep it out of the shots, and that he ended up in a fair bit of pain becuase of that. That's why it looks in the scene as if he doesn't actually HAVE a dick!

Actually if you watch the underworld:evolution dvd with director's commentary Len Wiseman actually says that they used cgi to reamove his penis from the shot (hence it looking kinda strange and like he doesn't have one)
