sea kittens?

this is the type of thing that really annoys me about PETA.

i support alot of the good work they do, against abuse, for better conditions for animals, for humane slaughter, for anti-fur positions and for strong positions against dogfighting, sealhunts and the killing of dogs to be used as fur in china etc...

but then they do so many stupid things, and make themselves look foolish, which detracts from the good things and good messages which they do.

It makes them look foolish, when in fact much of what they do is admirable, yet they make themselves a laughingstock.

"I'm right there with you! But I got reamed here last week by the un-enlightened! I had to put on a fur coat and have some veal piccata to feel better!

Well they are somewhat smug, annoying & self-righteous.

but Im sure theyve done some good work too...

My problem with them; in addition to the fact that the majority of animals that they save have to be put down is that they step over the homeless hungry people in NYC to worry about someone wearing a fur coat to stay warm.

Radicalism in any form is a strange thing. These folks cross the line then dance all over it. They would much prefer to save a lame animal than a healthy human being. I would seriously doubt that they were opposed to cannibalism.

Good point- PETA owns one of the largest euthanasia tanks in the US.

They locally agitate AGAINST City pounds having to Euthanize unwanted pets... but the pets they "free" they secretly euthanize themselves.

Also- they have Funded and supported terrorism- directly implicated in giving money and even providing shelter for Eco-terrorists.
